Upgrade from from unfurnished to furnished? (Or sell and replace?)

Hello all,

I have a house location I want and like, but I bought it unfurnished because you can only buy furnished with crowns which is wrong but okay, that's another story!
Anyway, now crowns are on sale... the house I have I want to keep, it's the only house I want and need! I do not need anymore than one for me, but I want to upgrade it so I ask, is there a way to upgrade this home from unfitnished to furnished with a cost obviously?
If not, why can I not sell it, get my gold back, items I placed inside automatic inventory slotted and then repurchase with furnished!

Thank you.

Sadly these are not options you can do.

You can't upgrade a house to furnished once purchased and your can't sell one either, so you're stuck with the house as it is.

One thing you could do is buy another house furnished and take all the items from that and move them over to your old house, this would also give you a second house for "storage" of items you're not using in your main one at the time.

That's a pretty creative solution. Though, I don't know if simply buying all the furniture bundles would be cheaper than buying another furnished house. The free homes work fine as storage closets (they are just about the size of one).
