Stam Sorc Help?

I'm starting a new dps stam sorc character and was wondering which weapon type would fit me best. either dual wield and bow or two handed and bow. I play mostly solo PVE but I do dabble in PVP from time to time and I would like to do the endgame content with friends.

Hello Wonkier,

dual wield and bow will get you max dps.

rapid strikes / blood craze / crit surge / bound arm / rearming trap = REND ULTI
poison injection / endless hail / hurricane / bound arm / vigor = BOW ULTI

NMG which will be 2 daggers 3 Armour pieces then probably automation rings/neck and armour pieces found in darkshade cavern dungeon as this boost physical damage.

Your aim would be VO (vicious ophian) found in END game trials.

But the above will 100% get you by for now easily and the gear isn't hard to obtain at all.

DW+bow for PvE

2H+bow for PvP

2H skill Rally is great for a burst heal and Dizzing Swing is nice for CC and burst damage, and PvP is all about burst damage. The issue I have with DW on a stam sorc for PvP is while it's great, even essential, for sustained damage it lacks in burst. If stam sorc had a class spammable it could work (technically it can but I certainly wouldn't recommend it, especially for beginners) but any class skills a stam sorc is using is for utility.

So NMG + VO for end game is a good goal for Stam Sorc? I ask because I finally completed my VO set tonight (3x gold jewellery, 2x divines armour) rest is standard divines NMG (3x armour, 2x daggers and bow).
