Can we please stop with the death threats...

What I mean by that is I've noticed more so recently that players are threatening to quit the game for good if ZOS does this, or if ZOS implements that.. most of the time to rumours that have or had no official statement from ZOS. Seriously guys it's horrible image for our dedicated fanbase and extremely childish.. I understand not everyone is going to be open to change but that's no way to get what you want. I can guarantee that your threats hold no value and will get you no where except making yourself look like a ass. Let's please come together as a community and be mature. Instead of threating to quit playing how about stating why you don't think this or that would be beneficial to gameplay or overall experience. Let's actually give feedback that may help influence what gets changed or not. I gaurentee that will get you allot further. The community drives this game and ZOS understands that let's just act like a one and be mature and provide feedback that will better benefit our game. Thank you

Good point, I've been playing this game nonstop for a while now and i teuely love the game am I keen on every Nerf or buff? Nah . Allot of times I'll see updates reversed . We all know the "do this and I'll stop logging in" is bs and won't follow through. Oldest and lamest and desperate trick in the book. I agree I wish they would quit, the server is getting kinda crowded

Well, since you're practically asking for this... I will quit the game if the following happens, all else being equal:

The gear cap is raised.
I get a permaban for some reason.

Yeah all those "I quit and I'm taking my wife, my 3 cousins, and 2 of my friends with me" are kinda lol-worthy.
I honestly think people writing this are desperate and scared of change. I don't know if they are so delusional that they think some medium-level forum moderator might see it and think "holy snip, this is going straight to Lambert!", but it does seem like that's what they expect to happen.
So, as I said... lol-worthy. And a little cringe-worthy too.

This is pretty much every forum for every game, ever.
There are always people who get upset about changes, so they swarm onto the forums to announce that they'll quit the game if "X" happens. I saw it on The Sims forums back when I used to visit those.
Very few of them ever quit.

When diplomacy/discussion has reached ways end. Next step is to cut of the fundings stop subscribing/buying crowns, and if that doesnt seem to work next step is to shut down the server and do a ddos or other attack. Same procedure that are used in conflicts all over the World.

And here I hopped in this thread, thinking something completely different. People more often tend to quit something when they don't get their exact way, hence why divorce is so common these days. I wouldn't let it bother you, as the community's constantly growing and getting new players, especially with Morrowind and all it's new features coming out.

The people that make a big deal about quitting will most likely come back quietly with their tails between their legs anyway, because people can be like that.

"my ESO". Only Matt Firor has permission to say that. Honestly, I didn't know that was the OP message. I took it as an ambiguous request about people threatening to quit. I understand people can take that incredibly seriously, and history has show that can be a form of bullying. Personally, I just don't take what most people say on the Internet seriously when it's a negative comment like @Skittles 's. I apologize for any problems I might have stirred up and wish you a good day.

It's not just ESO players, or even just gamers. It's the MMO version of "I'm never shopping here again!" which I'd hear at least once a week when I worked in retail. Now when I'm at work it's "I'll cancel my membership!". In all 3 cases it has less and less impact the more times you hear it.

If you happen to corner a young employee, someone with less than a year's experience they may actually believe it and think it's a big deal, but chances are they're in no position to do anything about it. Anyone else will have heard it so many times they've stopped caring - they know that even in the rare cases it's not an empty threat that person is likely no big loss to the business (in fact you may be better off without customers like that) so they're going to carry on regardless.

Giving clear feedback is often much more effective. Especially if you can expand on exceptionally vague complaints like "the game is broken" or "why don't you balance professions?" to explain what you think is broken or unbalanced and what would be an effective fix. It may only mean that other people can explain why what you want is a horrible idea, too expensive/time consuming or literally impossible but at least people can understand what you're asking for and respond to it.

But it's not nearly as satisfying and writing detailed feedback is much more time consuming and requires more thought and planning than spamming a vague rant littered with threats...

Well part of the problem is that zos really does not have a habit of listening that well. Granted they're a business and driven by money and that means catering to sucking in dollars via crown crates and crown store items. But it is a fact, this game has some serious flaws that tend to be extremely frustrating. And it's not like zos hasn't got advice on how to fix them by a lot of good players and top streamers.

In all honesty, I WISH those who 'quit' would actually LEAVE instead of stalking the forums spreading their negativity and venom. They tend to be the ones who have nothing nice to say about ESO and ZOS, who constantly complain... yet hang around somehow expecting that the game is miraculously going to become exactly what they want. If you're going to leave, then LEAVE... and shut the ESO door behind you please.
