Dyes Stamps and the option to unlock Crown Store exclusive dyes PERMANENTLY

In light of even more Crown Store exclusive dyes being put up on the Crown Store as dye stamps, I feel it's important to bring up a point that I know other people within the community are vocal about. That is a request for the option to permanently unlock these dyes. So, instead of having the one-time use dye stamps, there would be an option for ESO+ members to dye their costumes in those colours with the peace of mind that they can freely change it again later on and use it in combination with colours that aren't the ones locked on the dye stamp. Non-ESO+ players would also have the ability to dye using it, but obviously not with costumes, but it depends on what ZOS wants to do about the dyes if they did decide to make any changes at all.

I know ZOS are looking for ways to improve ESO+, so perhaps these Crown Store exclusive dyes can be unlocked for ESO+ players if those players are subscribing during the limited-time period that the dye is on the Crown Store for, as part of the subscription bonuses. Or, if ZOS doesn't agree on it being apart of the subscription as such, they could make it so only ESO+ members can permanently unlock a dye by purchasing it on the Crown Store, but that would be their choice to make.

Also, to better demonstrate the inability to use these colours in combination with other colours that aren't locked in on the dye stamp, here is a picture of my character wearing a costume with the emperor red dye, alongside two other dyes:

And here is two images of my character previewing two different dye stamps (both containing Crown Store exclusive dye colours):

And now this is a (poorly photoshopped) image demonstrating what is currently impossible:

I cannot combine my emperor red dye with either of the Crown Store exclusive dyes, because the way that the dye stamps work mean that I can only dye my attire with the 3-colour combination that the dye stamp has already pre-determined. I feel this is a shame, as I am not free to experiment with the colours locked in these stamps with the other dye colours I have unlocked. Permanently unlocking the dye will prevent this, as I would then be free to combine whatever colours I like in any combination I like.

tl;dr: Requesting ZOS to give us an option to unlock the Crown Store exclusive dyes permanently, instead of being locked in a dye stamp.

As a person who has been constantly subscribed from five-day pre-release, I am fine with the idea of buying the colours rather than having them as an ESO Plus bonus. But I want the opportunity to buy and unlock them, which is not currently offered.

Allowing us to unlock the dyes for use at the dye station would allow us to use them on armour as well as costumes, in the colour combinations which we prefer, rather than only as the premade dye stamp version. Both Hundred Pumpkin Orange and that rather nice green which was around during the Christmas/New Year period are colours which are unique, and which look particularly good on "shiny" textures. However, I intensely dislike the idea of having someone else's colour scheme applied to my characters' clothing. Maybe it's because I come from a country which forces you to wear a school uniform from the age of 5 to 16, I don't know.

So I wholeheartedly support this idea. ZOS will make more money, players will be happier. "All" you have to do is figure out from a UI perspective how it would be possible for us to pay to permanently unlock the colour in our dye lists. I recognise that this would involve development time and energy which could potentially be used on something more important, but I really do think it would improve the sales of dyes, especially among the ESO Plus community. (Do any of us ever buy dye stamps now? Pretty sure it's only non-subscribers who do.)

The idea of Crown Store dye consumables is still mind-boggling to me. Do people actually buy these? Crown Store-exclusive dyes sound like a cool idea and something I might actually buy, but the stamp system is crazy. No more stamp-exclusives please.

It's definitely one of their crazier looking schemes. But there might be method in their madness.

Remember that what they want is for people to subscribe and since you can't freely dye costumes unless subscribed, this mind-boggling alternative makes the subscription look better.

Though for me it just makes costumes not worth buying.

I wish we could buy crown store dyes and use them freely - actually add them to our dye lists (like the New Life festival blue). I really wanted the orange from Halloween 2016, and the bunnynose pink/pastel sky/chick yellow that are available now are so nice. I'd buy them all as separate dyes I could freely use if I could

I support this idea. IMO dye stamps are utterly pointless, but if they sold just the exclusive dyes as a permanent unlock to be used on armour (and costumes with a sub) I'd definitely buy them.

Except they can actually lose money that way. When dye stamps were announced I thought it'd be like the appearance change tokens: non-subscribers can choose dyes to apply to a costume but they have to use a dye stamp to save them. I was planning to buy 18 stamps for my 4 characters to dye all the costumes they use. If we say the average price of a dye stamp is 100 crowns that's 1800 crowns or about £8.

Instead I paid £9 for a 30 day sub and depending on how you look at it I either paid that to dye the costumes and got 1,500 crowns free (which I would have bought separately) or I bought the crowns and dyed my costumes for free. Either way they lost money. And they'll lose more after Morrowind comes out when I buy another 30 days to dye my 3 new characters costumes instead of buying stamps.

I bought one of the orange dyes over Halloween for what was then my favorite costume. Since then, I have not dyed the costume again even though I really want to, because in doing so, I will lose the orange dye permanently. As a result, I don't wear the costume at all (since I like changing dyes/styles every now and then.) After that, I never purchased a crown store dye again even though I've seen some cool ones in the crown store appear that I liked.

I would like the option for the crown store dye to return to inventory if the costume is dyed over, or some other way to return it to inventory. Players not wearing costumes and not dyeing them ever again for fear of permanently losing a unique crown store dye is probably not the effect ZOS intended when implementing crown store dyes.

Per others suggestions, please allow them to be permanently purchasable, or allow the crown-purchased dyes to return to inventory when the player wants to switch to a different dye.

Oh yeah I'm not saying their method works. Only that there might be some logic to their seeming madness.

I know I've spent less money on the store because of these schemes.

Like I said, I don't buy costumes specifically because I can't dye them as I please. That's income lost.

I considered but decided against resubscribing while this event was on. With all my alts doing crafting writs and housing still not having storage, now would have been a good time to restock my slightly depleted crafting bag. Plus the 10% extra crafting xp and gold would have been handy with me finishing off leveling crafting for my alts.

Except.... I'm still considering pre-ordering Morrowind (I'm waiting for them to say something about being able to make existing characters into Wardens and at what cost) which would give me the Warden costume. It would be nice to dye that as I please which would mean subscribing before getting it would be wasteful. So no sub.
