Why am I still picking up 140cp items as a 153cp character?

Just curious...

Picking them up from environment, like a shield laying on the ground for example.

    The items you pick up from the world, Shields and Swords off tables for example are scaled to cp 140. I don't know why they do not scale to cp 150 / 160 but that is just the way she goes.

    Dungeons and trials drop cp160 items but cp140 is max for zones.

    Mob drops and treasure chest (and thieves caches) stuff generally scales to character, its the zone -basic containers- (including stealables, and yes, stuff picked up in the world) that have the CP140 stuff... but since they are all stuff to decon or vendor anyhow, who really cares? Not to mention half of the crap is those "zero value, destroy right away to free up inventory or don't even bother pick up at all" kinda things...

    Its to counter the mat farming and otherwise easy crafting leveling from deconning world loot. There are places that just have tons of stuff laying around for the taking. Making them less than worthwhile channels players into the traditional methods material gathering and deconning.
    Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
