At a stand still - ESO Gold

I am a long time player. Been in the original beta and bought the digital version when it came out. But I've never owned the DLC yet. I need opinions from other players. Should I buy the gold edition on Steam and link my account, or save money and buy 5500 crowns and get the 4-DLC pack via the website? I really just want to know is it worth paying extra to have it on Steam and what other benefits I get?

I know a lot of steam players have issues eith updates and crashes. I would suggest just getting the 4 dlc pack and have it easier. Why get it on steam anyway? Isn't it an exrra hussle?

The only difference between the gold edition and the DLC pack is that the gold edition also includes the palomino horse. As a long-time player you may already have that or may have mounts you prefer anyway.

I don't know what the benefits of linking your account to Steam are (I avoid using Steam unless I have to), but I would have thought there would be a way to link your account without buying another copy.

No they make you buy a new license via Steam but you can link your old ESO account to retain your progress.

Thanks for your time, I am going to go with the DLC pack on the website.

Subscribe. We're getting more perks in Morrowind.

TESO needs a wardrobe system badly. Something similar to WoW's tmog system would make this game one of the best mmorpg out there!

I can't stand steam, so get the 4 DLC pack, IMO.

Dont buy via steam if you want to support ESO :)

Steam gets a share of the $$$ so ZOS gets less....

Just don't buy from Steam period. (For this game at least). I Hear no end of complaints about people trying to get crowns and having to wait for days for everything to go through, and the support is even worse. Just buy the crowns from The site and get the 4 DLC pack from the crown store. Save yourself the hassle.

Actually I got the Gold Edition today on Green Man Gaming. It's not steam and it was €0,42 cheaper than buying the crowns for the 4 DLC pack. You get a mount with it as well :P
