Morrowind pre-order confusion

Apologies all, I'm sure the question has been asked multiple times but I'm looking for clarity before I pre-order.

I currently own a copy of ESO, but would like the statue so, do I need to pre-order the physical collectors edition and if yes can I gift the base game to my friend for his birthday (which luckily falls a week after release) whilst using the expansion for myself?

You can definately upgrade your existing account with the code from the physical Collector's Edition of Morrowind:

However, I'm not sure if it contains seperate codes for the base game and the upgrade. It doesn't sound like it, so gifting the base game to your friend will probably not be possible.

Thank you @feyii thats really useful. I searched there and this link (https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/37441/kw/Morrowind/session/L2F2LzEvdGltZS8xNDkxOTk1NTQ4L3NpZC9EQjhFY1Zmbg==) says that you get
"Both The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited and The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind" if you purchase the physical collectors edition, which to me says that they are separate.

Can anyone confirm my understanding is correct or incorrect? @ZOS_GinaBruno??

I think either Jess or Gina said a while back that the Physical Collector's Edition only comes with one code which includes both TU and Morrowind.

If that is the case, It feels very odd considering you can order the games separately. Do you have a quote regarding this i can refer to?
