A couple things about game...

I like most of the content about the game. Especially DLCs are good. So much time to roam in all Tamriel and well designed zones...

But I have a couple things i want to share and please keep it clear. This is not a troll post. I really want to see a better game since eq/eq2...
Here I go...

All classes are boring...
You have tons of skills but can only use 10(plus 2 ulti)...
Why?
I have learned all the skills but i can use some of them? I spam all the same skills over and over like a cheap korean game. This doesn't make sense.

Unless all the game designed for consoles...
  • There are only 4 classes. Four! God sake in all over Tamriel has only 4 classes?
  • Dumb level quests,
  • Soloable dungeons,
  • 4-person dungeons.
  • People are so bored to death, some of them doing vDungeons solo.
  • Classes doesn't really need each other. 12k health player should not solo that easily.
  • No diversity. There must be significant differences between classes. There should have been bards, wardens, monks, rangers, etc... but with significant roles. For ex: I should really need an illusionist or a bard to complete even normal dungeons/trials.

Some people say normal dungeons are for learning process. No, not really. You pass all the mechanics by zerging it with high DPS.
I definately didn't learn anything by doing normal dungeons until doing vets.

Mobs definately must hit harder. Not only the veteran dungeons' final boss but other mobs as well. Final boss hits me 20k but adds hit me like 250-300?

I don't even mention multi-queueing like "tank+healer+dps". Yesterday a player queued as t+h+d. When you ask him, he says "I'm mixed...". What a hell is that? There is no such a thing as mixed, you are not even a Khajit to be mixed (sorry kitties). He doesn't know how to keep agro or heal (with greatsword ofc.) Not mentioning the dps he does(not). Allowing to multi-queueing does this... STOP IT PLS

Yes, this is a QQ post.
And yes, I'm fun at parties...

The classes are my biggest problem with this game. Compared to EQ the ESO classes are vanilla, boring, and becoming more homogenized. Exactly the opposite of what Wrobel said he wanted to do with them. Yes, compared to other MMOs the classes suck, and bad. However, everything else is fantastic.

Like anything, give it time. Whether it will improve or not. Your complaints may hold ground in some areas, but remember, pure criticism gets you nowhere, constructive criticism is what leads to improvement. Have any ideas on how to improve upon what you're finding issue with?

I stopped at the limit of 10 skills and 2 ults.

We can use any and all of the skills we have unlocked but only 10+2 at a time.

Beside that this has worked for us well for more than 3 years now, it requires us to out more thought into our builds and most of the skills are situational.

Comparing this to a game where one can click on the screen for any on of 50 + skills and still only end up using 10 or less because most of those 50 skills aren't really useful.

Works well as it is and helps make it a good game. You'll get used to it.

Nvm. Skimmed through the rest of the OP. This is just a rant. Not really sure why your playing the game since you truly seem to not enjoy it like the millions of most of those here. Just saying.

I've played several games where you have access to at least 24 skills at once. You don't use them all. Many are useless because other skills are better. Take FFXIV for example. You have way more skills but the skill rotations are even more basic that ESO. The warrior class as an example. You spam the same 4 or 5 skills over and over just waiting on cooldiwns for some. Same thing for games like Aeon. I played a spiritmaster and out of the 20+ skills all you needed were 7 or 8 of them. The rest were useless.

ESO actually gives a lot (obviously not all) that are decent skills and forces you to choose. Sure there are some BiS builds in ESO but you can go to any theorycrafting forum or search YouTube and there are tons of different builds. In games that I mentioned previously there is really no such diveristy. You have 1 or 2 gear sets you will use at endgame and that's all you can even choose from.

Another game I played was blade and soul. As a blade master there were two builds at endgame and that's it. No more, anything outside of that you were dead meat and not competative in the slightest. There was also only 1 or 2 sets at endgame that everyone used. Again, search ESO builds and they are way more diverse than other games.

4 classes, soon to be 5. Yeah I feel you there. That's not nearly as many classes as any of the other games I've mentioned. However the balance is even more broken than ESO. Obviously ZoS needs to tweak classes but overall they are able to be successful and hold there own. Aeon was pretty balanced but FFXIV was not, nor was blade and soul. I bring these MMOs up because they are within the last ten years. There is some more I played but the point remains the same for them as well.
Hey everyone! Look! It's a signature!

Don't worry. I'm one step ahead of you. I'm questioning myself too. Spamming same rotations over and over is not playing a game.

The skill slot limitation seems to add a challenge to the game in which you have to set up according to what you are doing. I have played games where you can slot every ability you have and it gets boring fast as its too easy to be ready for everything. Perhaps a few more slots would be useful, but more than that would make the game too easy.

But if you say that all classes are boring, quests, etc, why are you playing?

There's a wide variety of skills and - other than class skills - none of them have restricted access. The point of the 10 skill +
2 Ult limit is to force you to optimise your skill setup. If I could (other MMO style) slot each and every one of my skills then diversity gets thrown down the toilet. Builds become unique (yes, meta this, meta that, but that's not my point) because of how they choose to set up their skills. Will I risk removing harness to slot trap for the DPS boost? Do I slot spiked armour/wings to be more defensive, or FoO for more burst? If we weren't forced to make this decision then you'd lose a massive portion of theorycrafting.

    • There are only 4 classes. Four! God sake in all over Tamriel has only 4 classes?

When I first played ESO (back in beta) I remember being underwhelmed by the number of classes, but that's mostly because of the amount of superficial variety in single-player TES. The 4 classes all have incredible depth, with a fourth coming in a couple of months. We don't need loads of classes, given that you can play each in so many (not necessarily meta) ways.

    • Dumb level quests,

I actually think that a fair bit of the quest design is pretty good for an MMO. What type of quests would you prefer?

    • Soloable dungeons,

Are you talking about delves? Make them harder to require more people? What about new players who just joined the game... what content do you want them to do... just quests? Delves, public dungeons and overland (exc. WBs) are very beginner friendly. They aren't designed to be true tests of skill.

    • 4-person dungeons.

What about them? The art is great and many of them have interesting mechanics, though some aren't so good. They push new players to learn their class and basic dungeon features, whilst still giving vet players a fairly enjoyable place to fully optimize their 4-man.

    • People are so bored to death, some of them doing vDungeons solo.

Who's bored? If they're bored because vet dungeons are too hard (so they're soloing them) then they should look at moving towards Trials and further end-game content. Once you've reach the level that you're steamrolling every vet trial, can do vMA blindfolded and you and your group are perfectly optimised I can see how you may be bored. Then you can go PvP.

    • Classes doesn't really need each other. 12k health player should not solo that easily.

What is it that 12k health players are soloing? Mudcrabs? See the previous point. Classes synergise well and this is taken advantage of in optimised groups.

    • No diversity. There must be significant differences between classes. There should have been bards, wardens, monks, rangers, etc... but with significant roles. For ex: I should really need an illusionist or a bard to complete even normal dungeons/trials.

There is diversity. If you don't see it then you're not really understanding the underpinnings of the class system. You can't complain about diversity and then suggest that we be forced to take a certain build with us to beat content.

I assure you other console games have created a means to use more than 10 active skills.

I heartily agree that the limited class systems are a bit confining (might have been nice to see some hybrid subclasses unlocked (shadow-stealth sorcerer, necromancer, etc.).

They simultaneously wish to keep classes diverse, but to have all four (five) capable of covering every role...
So far? At the top level you might see a Nightblade as a secondary tank, or a sorcerer as a secondary healer. Everyone can DPS but in PvE things are pretty tilted towards Magicka builds on the classes.

tbh when they announced this game years ago I expected to have skill trees based off classic TES magic schools + weapons, armors and some other things like daedric/aedric affinities or what have you. Having the classes the way they are now just makes no sense to me. I know some of the in-game stuff tries to say stuff like Dragonknights use alteration or whatever, but the feeling just isn't there. Hardly any mages reference the schools of magic, fighters are... not. We're all pretty much hybrid builds in the view of prior games, pretty much every class spell is still a spell in appearance even after making it "stamina".

Consoles could have more then five moves by holding block plus attack 1,2etc would be a simple fix for that however I seriously doubt they would do that. You are forever damned to do the same move over and over for as long as you play.
