What this doesn't include is that armor enchantments also increase with CP160. So the overall stats might not seem like much difference at first, but when taken together with increased enchantment stats, they really do make a pretty sizeable difference... especially when upgraded to Legendary.

I won't provide you with exact numbers but it's pretty major between gold cp 150 and 160 weapons. For gear, while it(especially with enchantments, yes) adds up it's not that much, and cp 150/160 purple weapons are also pretty close, but gold weapons are like several hundred weapon damage apart and that's pretty noticeable.
All in, including Glyphs, all Legendary, you get 500 to 600 more of your main attribute (stamina or Magic) and IIRC, it is about a 5% difference in gear stats but the set bonuses are not 5% better. I do have a CP150 and CP160 gear set, but I am not at my gaming PC to screen shot the differences.
However, I will say it is quite underwhelming for Armor. And it is certainly not all the difference in the world.
Weapons, yes, make them CP160, and make them Gold.

Again I go back to, it may not seem like much now, but when sustain becomes an issue in the next update, those increased enchant stats will definitely help especially when taken with passives that increase stats like max Magicka.

540 Magic (3 Infused, 4 Divines) out of approx 38,000 magic is not going to have all that much an impact on your sustain. Its only 1.4%.

Like everyone else has mentioned; With weapons, the difference is quite noticeable. With armor, the difference isn't so readily apparent.
I fully advocate for CP160 Gold weapons on every avatar you make, but having CP150 armor at Gold will be more than enough to suffice for pretty much everything in the game.
