Tryign to run ESO on an old, non-gaming laptop

Hello. While on business travel, wanted to try and run ESO on a non-gaming laptop. Was able to install but when I launch it, the game crashes. I ran the game consultant tool. Which portion of it will help determine what is causing the crash? Using an HP EliteBook 8470p (insert laugh here) and I am sure it is the laptop that is the problem. Just thought I would check.

The model of your laptop doesn't matter. What matters is the CPU type, the GPU type (including dedicated vRAM), and the RAM.

I'm probably not the best one out there to make an educated diagnosis, but I guess you GPU will never cut it, it's too weak. That's probably why ESO is crashing.

You are probably right. Was just hoping to log in for a little while. Guess that won't be happening. Will have to wait till I get home in a week.

Try with the lowest settings. According to some benchmarking sites, this GPU was able to run Skyrim at lowest settings with 30FPS. I believe ESO to be less resource-hungry than Skyrim was on PC. So if you don't intend to run dungeons, and just want to run some solo dailies or thefts or trade or just chat with a couple of people, it could work.
