Medium is the hit and run or turn and burn kind of play-style. Heavy is more the stand your ground and soak the damage kind of play-style. Depends how you want to play.

I personally think the heavy armor passives have to much synergy with dk's to pass up on for pvp. All though if you tend to run/dodge/sneak a lot on your DK then try out medium. If you wanna be tanky and bully your way to victory go heavy.

I personally have always used Medium. I prefer to be a glass-cannon. Heavy allows you to make mistakes and not be punished for it compared to Medium where 1 attack or stun could mean your death.

Funny I see more magicka DK then Stam DKs... I think 80% of people that play Stam DK are nothing more then a road block in PVP that can easily be bypassed.... To pull off a Stam DK in small man play u must learn to animation cancel .. most will never master this ..... Its a great dueling class one of the best....

Considering there's less, and less attacks you can dodge I say heavy.

I've always been an aggressive player no matter if it's fighting games, c.o.d., or dark souls so I'll be wearing medium, and just continue to get pissed off at the game.

    Hey, there!

As I get older, I find my reflexes lagging behind that of the younger crowd, so I'm thinking Heavy might be better for my "playstyle". I'm building a Stamina Nightblade for eventual dueling, but find myself wondering whether I should run Medium or Heavy armor. I'm considering DW/2H with 5 Shield Breaker, 2 Selene's, and 5 something else.

I'm genuinely curious as to which type of armor I should run. My build is still evolving, but any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If you play on a CP-enabled campaign, then heavy armor > all. If you play no-CP you have a little more freedom to use whichever suits your playstyle (generally).

For stamina nb you can go heavy or medium it's up to you both can be very good. For non cp nb I would def go medium with bone pirate as my base. A good and easy build to get is 5 bone pirate, 5 hundings (medium or heavy depending on what you want to go with 4 hundings on backbar) and 2 monster set. The new jester drink.

@Syiccal I think heavy is the way to for staminadk atleast that is what I use but in no cp medium might work.

Armor - it does not matter. When you are attacked by 3 Veterans of level 600 at the same time, it does not matter at all.

    This.

Dk synergies better with heavy like NB does with medium.

Odd if you're aggressive shouldn't you wear heavy since you would be taking a beating? I myself am a offensive player but also a front line tank type of guy as well.

The issue is that dodging comes second nature to me. My instinct is always to dodge an attack rather than block it, and if you like to dodge roll quite often you're going to burn through your stamina in heavy.
