So yes I've put in a support ticket already. However I believe the the community should be warned. ATM I have used two different bank accounts to buy ESO Crowns. The money was taken out of both accounts, and not returned. However ZOS did not give me any of the crown I've obviously paid for. This is a buyer beware, and nothing more.

    How long have you been waiting? It's usually instant for me but I have heard of it taking several hours for crowns to show up just because one or more steps in the process is running slowly at that time.

    PC?

    Did you buy the game on Steam and then buy the Crowns on the ZOS website?

    If so, that's the issue. I made that mistake the first time I bought Crowns. CS answered my ticket, told me the problem, and credited me the Crowns.

    Good luck!

    PC is either game purchased directly from ZOS and so crowns and such have to be purchased from ZOS

    Or

    Game purchases via steam and crowns or eso Plus purchased via steam.

    I don't believe it. If it were true then it just shouldn't be possible for steam bought accounts to buy stuff from the official site. It's not like that would be hard for them to do.

    @Nerouyn

    It is true.

    I bought the game from Steam. I bought Crowns off the website here. They didn't show up. I submitted a ticket. The friendly CS person told me the reason why is that I bought the game from Steam. She credited me the Crowns, though. I have since bought them off Steam with no issue.

    That's truly bizarre and from a technical viewpoint there is absolutely no reason that should happen.

    I'm curious: how long after you put in a ticket did you come here to post a buyer beware message?

    It's because Valve insists on a cut of profits (30% if i remember correctly). The terms may vary from game to game, but this usually applies to purchases for in-game currency as well (or in-game items if they are bought with real cash).

    It's not bizarre it's exactly how it's described to work. Look at the agreement info or the support help FAQ on this site.
