Craglorn sucks this patch :(

PC NA.....Craglorn used to be so nice, namely Belkarth, loved parking my characters there, easy access to everything. But now the zone chat is filled with nothing but people begging for someone to carry them through Skyreach, or lfg for Skyreach, people randomly walking up to me who I don't know, and asking me if I would carry them through Skyreach...I've had that happen like 3 times already...This sucks, and I'm gonna laugh my butt off when Zos nerfs the Skyreach grind.

I need a new city to park my characters, any recommendations? I started doing my writs in Mournhold then just porting Belkarth to turn them in. I hate having to go out of my way to avoid how unpleasant it is.

Yes I know I can block/go offline/use new chat tab....but that doesn't change the atmosphere or the fact that people are charging money to carry people through Skyreach :/

I just hate how people monetize gameplay and the way people are charging for it, I just feel like it would be deserved for Zos to nerf the XP from Skyreach, like they did to Cracked Water Cave. Schadenfreude, if you will.

Riften - the only thing out of the way is the stable.

Everything else is about 3-6 streaks from the wayshrine.

I came to this thread and expected to disagree with you because Craglorn is actually pretty great right now, but dang if you aren't totally right about the Skyreach beggars.

I park my characters at home. I've got all the crafting stations, a banker and a legitimate merchant in the town right outside. I'm quite happy.

Riften is a pretty good idea, I go there to craft Kagneracs and Orgnums for my armor orders. I'll have to remember how to get to the stables there, I always get lost lol

Stormhold in Shadowfen. Bank and crafting stations right next to each other and right around the corner from the WS and stables. And Thieves Guild right behind bank.

I started to get a lot of dual requests here lately. What they do is wait for someone to run up to wayshrine and hit you with a dual request so when you think you are clicking on the shrine you are in fact accepting a dual request. Annoying g

The Skyreach grinders make me laugh... probably because I have about 900 CP and won't get to use them for the next 3 years at the pace we are going, so I have no desire to grind xp.

For those that are just starting out and wanting to get to cp160 quickly so they can wear big boy armor... I say let them, and pray that ZoS doesn't go on an XP nerf rampage again like they did when CP first came out.

I port in to Belkarth from my house (there is always someone in one of my guilds to travel to) do my writs and sell the ornate stuff and travel back to my house. No muss. No fuss.

The problem with Rawl Ka is if its really busy, you can have problems logging into characters there.

I used to use Riften before I got a house. Now on park all my characters at home.

I bought "Humblemud" in Dhalmora, for 40K gold, to use as extra Furnishing storage and to serve as a useful Wayshrine.

All Crafting facilities, respective Merchants and Banker are a few steps away from the front door in the Dhalmora Hall of Merchants. The Wayshrine is also close by.

I saw that house, it even has a cute tiny yard if I remember right. I should buy it, I love that zone, so beautiful.

Yes, it does have a small garden.

The area is good for a quick harvesting run - on one's way to the Wayshrine - if one makes the journey at off-peak times.

When my main house was full, I moved all the Argonian furnitue and fish to Humblemud to free up space in my medium-sized house. Then I concentrated in only adding furnishing items to the larger house that count towards the Decorating Furnishing Achievements. I have only two or three categories to complete before all Achievements are done.

Good idea, very practical. I'm not a fan of the Argonian style at all, but I'm going to look into this.

People are so easily annoyed in this game. Like bro, do your own thing. The grind to 600CP is very real and you're surprised people are taking advantage of the 2x Exp in the best spot currently available? And most people asking for carrys already have plenty of alts with tons of gold in the bank that would like to avoid that monotonous grind from 1-50.

    riften smells of rotten fish...

after giving it a little thought - in all fairness to riften, having the stables located within town in rawl'kha can be a bit of a challenge on warm days (what other kind of days are there in reaper's march)...

trying to do business in the bank there on a hot day can get a little stifling and pungent with the smell from the stables right next door...

So then eventually they would nerf every grinding spot that people would use. By the way, how many cp do you have? If you are already at cap, don't deny others trying to get there too. Group xp is already nerfed into the ground. I don't care for people advertising runs myself in skyreach. I would do it for free if I spent my time there. Fortunately, I have a different area I use. I do feel that people can spend their time how they see fit. If an area is bothering you because it has people in it, you are playing the wrong game. Not everyone is nice and you find a lot of jerks in any mmo. There is no way getting away from them except using the ignore. Maybe spend the next two weeks in a quiter city, but I can say that most major cities are full of people right now. Maye your home? What are you going to do when morrowind goes live? If you think it is bad now.....just wait.

OMG. This is genius! I love Bal Foyen, but the wayshrine was a bit out of the way. Thank you!

OP, I guess you were not around for the days of the Craglorn Anomaly grind? What about the Upper Craglorn boss grind? The first Skyreach grind when CP first came out? Spellscar?

It will all pass, just like it has passed before.
