RNG festival rewards

This is a plea to ZoS,

you guys know rng sucks. you guys also know time limited events are time limited. So why do you keep making festivals have rng recpes (and for other festivals, motif pages)? I have dne all 3 festival quests for almost all days of the festival, and I have the following to show for it:

13x Princess Delight recipe
5x Candied Jesters coins recipe
2x cherry runebox
a few small appartments of jester banners
A lifetime supply of useless sparkly junk

However, what I didn't get were the purple recipes required for the achievement. And concidering the guild store prices (40k-50k+ per recipe), I suppose a lot of other people are also missing these recipes. So ZoS, please do away with the RNG limited time rewards for festivals, and replace them by either tokens, gauranteed drops from other festival achievements (saved a pig, didn't get anything to cook it?) or even stop including these rng drops alltogether. Either one of these or make it so that rng doesn't suck and give all the rewards based on already known recipes/stuff in bag or bank.

Thanks for reading,
One of the people who spend some of the 100% exp time doing boring repeatables hoping for some luck

I think if all of the possible rewards were instead on a vendor, and completing the quests earned you some type of holiday currency, it would be better all around.

I agree. When I first saw the news I figured it was a good thing there are less items to get (at least less "rare" seeming items).. but the RNG was way worse than NLF....

I got the recipes but i agree with the OP. RNG for a limited time event that really isnt about Min/MAX type of stuff but rather should just be a little fun event for players to enjoy. Adding RNG to this type of event that is limited just isnt right. These events should be fun for a little side activity away from the other stuff we do, not turn into a RNG frustration.

A little bit of RNG is fine. They want you to have a reason to keep doing the dailies after all, not just face grind the whole festival's worth of content in a single day then complain there's nothing to do. However out of about 30 boxes I opened I only got a singular purple recipe and probably 28 banners.

A good compromise would be keeping the RNG boxes but also adding a vendor that would let you swap your duplicate drops for currency, kinda like the crate/gem system. This way you still have incentive to do the content, but you have a sort of 'bad luck protection' against not being able to complete your achievements or collect everything.

Yeah, oddly enough I actually found myself missing the motif pages. They way Jester's Festival was set up, every player was chasing the same two ultra-rare things. If you got extra lucky on one of the two purple recipes, you could trade for the other, but otherwise there was nothing really to trade.

Two rares was better than one, because at least we got to trade something. But I did enjoy doing some horse trading on the previous events.
