I pug every day can count on one hand how many times we could not finish a dungeon due to lack of skill or dps

Agree. PS4 NA here and my pug experiences in ESO are almost always positive. Even the "bad" ones end up being amusing. I think the only other MMO I played where pugging was better was in LOTRO.

    So, yeah #puglife.

I also pug all the time with my Tank, healer and DPS. Sometimes you get good people, sometimes bad.

But I bail if it's obvious from the start that the group is not going to make it due to some of the groups inability, I try first to give advice on what should be done, or how they could play better. If none of this is acknowledged or followed, I'll find a better group, sometimes taking the one person in the group who could play with me.

I ran a pug of normal wgt today with lvl 14 and 22 dps, explained all the mechanics and wiped and wiped due to dps lacking
, then at 2nd last boss one of the dps left, failed pug.
After an hour, pug with another group, normal wgt, lvl 30 and 40 dps, went through so smoothly without anyone dying.
It's like that complete different experience, if one is bad, try another, you'll find a good one eventually.

@akl77 Dang man. I apologize that you had to go through all of that. You could've just messaged me on PSN, and I'd have happily came and assisted you along.

    Thank you champ!

You're welcome, comrade. Don't hesitate to send me a message, if you're looking for some speedy clears in the future. :)

When I pug as healer or tank, I'm happy when the group-dps is at 25k+.
When pugging, lower your expectations to a reasonable level and you won't get disappointed that often.
    Just try to stay positive.

I spend good chunk of my time PUGing as I'm still farming shoulder pieces and the toxicity of the players found are not as bad as portrayed on the forums. My main gripes come with the actual LFG tool itself and not the players. I'd say more often than not I'm paired with players who know what they're doing, know they're role, and play it well.
Every now and then I'll get paired with players who clearly need work on their build and/or don't know their class or role very well but its expected when you're in a queue with thousands of random players.
I've lost count on how many times the LFG tool has failed me though. I get absolutely livid when I spend 40 minutes queuing for random daily, complete the dungeon, just to have it not register. *** drives me insane.

I found that out a while ago when dealing with people in general. Whether PUG'ing, or running with guildies. Every since I lowered the standards I have for others, and stopped assuming and expecting them to do/know certain things? Things don't nearly frustrate me as much (to a degree). I'm guessing this is because when we hold people the high standards we have for them, it's crushing to see them fail. And that is due to attachment. The less attached you are, the less likely you are to spazz out when failure comes knocking at your door. You know?

I've posted elsewhere that I've had a mere 3 fandoms that didn't clear. All three times I was tanking. At worst a few pulls on a boss while a player is getting familiar with the mechanics but t usually fairly smooth though often slower than if I went with guild mates.

I often go as a tank or healer and best runs when the other players are challenge is when in on heals since I can still do decent dps though when tanking I can control the mobs well but just cannot add worthless dps.

I hear ya champ. the good groups stick out in your head after a great run because most are not so great. I still group finder pug a lot, but I'd much prefer normal as 2key runs with group finder pugs almost never go well....I don't count grouping up with other high levels around undaunted areas as a real pug. Most of them guys are well seasoned.

I see. I hope we play on the same platform, and 1 day can cross paths. I'd love to do a few dungeons with ya. ^_^
