Keep your head-up, and don't give-up on finding a positive experience. The LFG tool may be a bit gnarly more often than not. And yes, you may come across a lot of ill-informed; toxic players. But, there is that chance still that everything just falls into place flawlessly. As shown in the video above. And what's odd is, I hardly spend more than 2hrs. a day on ESO (when I choose to slide on ESO). Let alone do I ever actually do undaunted dailies anymore, as I have all monster shoulders in divines that are considered BIS. Regardless, I decided to give a shot and things were phenomenal.
The tank was incredible and did their job amazingly. The heals were real. And the other DPS was holding it down quite nicely. Mind you, I had never met those individuals prior to today. I met the tank in Elden Root by the Undaunted Enclave, and the other 2 from the finder. Completely by sheer luck (if it was luck). I knew it was going to be interesting too, because we started off with the DLC dungeon. Rather than the bass game dungeons. And Bruh-Bruh, we smashed it. We ran that cleaner than some of my runs with guildies, true story.
I was completely blown away with how skilled some folks truly are who PUG, and it made me feel bad. Because I read all the time here on the forums about how there are good players, but never get the chance to shine. And my heart and feelings go out to them. Deadass. Because if there are more of y'all out there capable of pulling that type of work, than I can imagine what you're capable of in VMoL or hard-mode Craglorn trials. All you need is just the platform and opportunities to glow.
And well... I just wanted to tell you all to keep the faith in PUG'ing alive, and maybe you'll have an amazing experience as well. Or even better, you might group up with me and we can slay together. And I can assure you, we gonna jam good if we team-up. Just ask those who've played with me. We're going to get things done, and have a good time doing so. ^_~

Is that the one that starts with the Harvester boss and zombie adds? I ask because I tried the LFG once and ended up there. We got wiped twice on the first boss, nobody except me would say anything, and the group dissolved in silence. After that I went back to solo delves.

Yup. That's WGT. Lol. The boss that locks up a player, and they have to pick themselves out.

Maybe it's my Introverted personality, but I just could never pug that well, I'm lucky I have a awesome group of friends I play with.....I would probably just solo if I didn't have that.

I love that part, speed lock picking is my jam.

Ouch. I've experienced some inexperienced groups in WGT, that get caught on the 3rd boss. And boy oh boy. Nothing drops the group morale like wiping to the Planar Inhibitor multiple times. Especially after mechanics have been gone over tons upon tons of times, and people try to assure you that they've done it before.

I ran a pug of normal wgt today with lvl 14 and 22 dps, explained all the mechanics and wiped and wiped due to dps lacking
, then at 2nd last boss one of the dps left, failed pug.
After an hour, pug with another group, normal wgt, lvl 30 and 40 dps, went through so smoothly without anyone dying.
It's like that complete different experience, if one is bad, try another, you'll find a good one eventually.

Omg this so much. It's like the ultimate Reading Comprehension boss.
"Guys have you all done this before? - Yup. - Okay, our dps is low so don't forget to close the pinion please:) - Okay - *guys hardly ever close pinion, wipe when healer(me) gets portals because dot op*
"Guys we need to close the pinion. Just watch for it to open and then immediately close it. - *guys don't close pinion once, healer dies in blue stage for obvious reasons*
"Guys, we really need to close the pinion or it'll never work... - Kk - *hardy anyone closes pinion again and she helplessly watches someone get rekt in blue stage because she can't close pinion anymore or dot will rek her* "
.............
If they actually do close pinion or have high enough dps to not need to(out of blue stage), it's same story with portals. Nothing like 50 ads and 10 ogrims to spice up the day.
That said I do still pug and it still can be fun sometimes but unfortunately not so often(anymore). I'm glad OP got lucky though:)
I got into like endgame level group a few weeks ago, great tank(68k healthknight with op group shields) and dps pushing like 40k each, we breezed through the dungeon(I think it might've been wgt too...or not, I honestly don't remember but it was goooooooooood), then I suggested we go do cos because we can, we did but it appared dps were either not very experienced with it or used to different roles or something there - while dps was good they wouldn't bash the boss that chains down tank(remembering names is hard) and they had huge issues finding the way out of catacombs. We could've done it but people got snappy/impatient and ragequit, leaving me with the tank. Unfortunately that's another thing that often happens in pugs, people don't feel the dedication to hold onto strangers and try to figure out group strategy if things go wrong. Granted it's not always but often. Ended up calling in a couple friends and finishing this though, and happily friended the tank and am now frequently running stuff with him, did ROM no death together just a few days agoThat alone is worth a few dozen failed pug runs.

Our strategy is dps pretty much hold blue phase. Tank holds till 2nd portals, dps takes pinion and face tanks. We got 2 stam templars usually, we can hold it blue phase for 10-15 seconds and just dps it down. Stam classes sve alot of heals over time.

@akl77 Dang man. I apologize that you had to go through all of that. You could've just messaged me on PSN, and I'd have happily came and assisted you along.
