Anyone put this set to decent use in any builds? I was originally collecting it for a future Warden, but I'm using it on my Magplar right now as a swap-out set for worm cult when soloing and it's working great.

Normally I run 5pc spell power cure with worm cult chest/shoulders/jewelry, and just swap to rattlecage chest/shoulders/jewelry when I'm not healing. It boosts me from around 2k spell damage to 2.8k, and other than entropy templars have no way to get major sorcery

If you cant fit entropy on your bar or dont use spell pots then yea its useful, I used it in pvp mostly and on vma.

I still need to try maelstrom on that character. It's nice pairing rattlecage with spell power cure, since spc procs from the heal on puncturing sweeps.

I run a 5pc Rattlecage and 5pc seducer + skoria set on my mag dk and it works great for me personally.

    Rattecage + dreugh king slaye...

    OK not xD

Rattecage on mageblades is a good option, but you need to pair it with a defensive set.
Sarcasm is something too serious to be taken lightly

I was born with the wrong sign
    In the wrong house
    With the wrong ascendancy
    I took the wrong road
That led to the wrong tendencies
I was in the wrong place at the wrong time
For the wrong reason and the wrong rhyme
On the wrong day of the wrong week
Used the wrong method with the wrong technique

That's actually what I was thinking of running on my warden if hybrids get any love

    I run on my magplar

5 piece rattle cage. 3 jewlery 2 swords
    5 piece overwhelming
1piece grothdarr (for ~900 more magicka)
1piece kena (for 129 more spell damage)

    ~5k spell damage

For potion i use 1 for health and magicka recovery.

Entropy is a waste of a precious skill spot and no other set helps templars all around as much as rattlecage. Soulshine is a good backup set.

Personally i don't have space issues in my Templar at all, i love structured entropy. Rattle cage is just a set for people who want to use every skill imaginable i guess.

No, it's more than that. I use rattlecage on my templar because I have all my important dps skills on the single bar. I don't waste time with bar swap and cast entropy (what a disgusting waste of dps), and rattle also eliminates the human error component and ensures 100% uptime of major sorcery. Since I'm not willing to waste money on spell damage pots, rattlecage is the only answer for templars.

I intend to use this for my Magblade in PvP. Not sure yet about the second set, maybe Stygian or Spinner or Alchemist. The number of impenetrable and heavy armor pieces is still undecided too. There may be a lot more specialized builds out there for Magblades in PvP, but for me it's just about being bored somewhat in PvE right now and therefore doing some PvP for some ranks and skillpoints without having the total victim status.

So I follow the basic rule for PvP, accumulate spell damage, magicka and reg, resistances and crit defence, ignore crit and crit damage. Rattlecage and the two other sets - maybe add alchemist too - aren't bad for that.

For PvE there are better choices (BSW, Scathing Mage, Aether or Moondancer jewelry for the 5% damage bonus, Grodarr for melee, Ilambris for ranged builds).

Sometimes the prey turns and nips us... it's a small thing.

So let the snow flakes and unicorns dance alone until they melt or vanish from existence, we will finish up with those smart enough to stay in the glowing circle of love.

I've been passively farming a set of it for my Templar healer so I don't have to run structured entropy or rely on potions anymore. Not ideal. Currently running five piece spc and five piece julianos until I can get a full worm set to replace juli. Spc rattlecage should be fine for most group content but I probably wouldn't take it in vet trials. The jewelry is really easy to get though, which is nice. Rings and neck have unique forms that drop from certain bosses in vom. Got really lucky running vet com by myself on my magsorc and got a ring and neck for rattlecage as well as a purple worm ring from a chest in just one run. Just need to find the right armor pieces now.

I like to run it in pvp paired with a sustain or damage set, and use immovable potions with crit (or detect) and magicka. Haven't found a use for it in a dungeon build yet (always seems to be a better option), but I think for open-world stuff it's pretty handy too. I like to use it sometimes to cruise solo through dailies for motifs.

I second this, I use rattlecage on my Magicka DK with seducer as my sustain set and rotate between grothdar/skoria/Bloodspawn depending on what I'm doing. For a DK the extra skill slot is very beneficial

It is highly useful on mDKs in PVP (and really any heavy armor magic build that wants an extra bar slot), and I have actually used it once in VMA. It does make you very tanky in VMA with pretty darn good DPS, but I am used to High DPS builds in there, so it wasnt for me. Not a bad tool for learning.

Since Entropy's empower is glorious for Frags and Spectral Bow, I see no good reason for Sorcs and NBs.

DKs have no good burst move to be empowered by Entropy. A boosted heavy attack with Igneous is situational. I see potential here for Rattlecage.

Templars can get empower from Flares and have no good alternative to Entropy. Rattlecage is a very good choice here.

I have a Dunmer Templar(mageplar, beamplar). I use the RattleCage set and i use the Grothdarr (light),and willpower rings and neck. That is i use 5 Heavy and 2 light. This Works well for me. However some people in veteran dungeons do not agree With my items :disappointed:

MagDK: Entropy into leap is kinda good tbh :D
