Has anyone ever had a Trading Guild disband because they weren't able to win a location?
How does your guild generate enough gold to win the bids for a location?
Do you think there are enough Guild Traders? Should there be more? Are you afraid that an increase in the number of Guild Traders would cause your own sales to decrease? Do you think more Traders would encourage more players to get involved in the Trader system and increase your sales instead?
Do you think the limited number of Guild Traders locks some guilds out of being able to participate in trading?

This is a question only ZOS can answer because it really depends on whether the existing traders are being fully utilized and how many are being denied a trader on a consistent basis. If the traders are fully utilized, and the number of guilds consistently denied a trader increases over time, then yes, there should be more. There should not be more traders than guilds that want them, and an escalating cost for the traders is not necessarily a reason to add more.Are you afraid that an increase in the number of Guild Traders would cause your own sales to decrease?

Yes, but this is only a problem if the number of guilds unsuccessfully looking for a trader increases over time. All traders should be hired each week. Empty traders indicates that there are too many of them. Ideally, there will always be guilds that cannot get a trader because they lost a bid and there were none available for immediate hiring.

Argawarga✭✭✭✭We raise funds primarily through raffles, contests, donations, and a 2k weekly sales minimum (which is low). It's pretty much a full time job for our guild leader, who I have heaps of respect for.
It took us a long time to build up the resources to consistently make a competitive bid for a spot in Mournhold. Once we did it though, it got WAY EASIER to keep that spot. Having a trader in a place like Mournhold or Rawl'kha means your sales are all but guaranteed. Guildies will have the money to donate and participate in fund raisers.

Sorry for the double post, but I should have answered this one.
Yeah, the number of guild traders in competitive locations definitely caps the number of guilds that can meaningfully participate in the economy. Like I said before, it's extremely difficult to knock a wealthy guild out of their spot if your guild isn't already wealthy themselves.
Not sure how to fix this though, since the size of a city kind of limits the number of possible trader spots.0 -

I'm in a trading guild that gets a prime spot every week and a casual guild that usually but not always gets an out of the way trader. The sales from each are about the same for most things. There are some items I sell that are not in high demand and those obviously move quicker in the high traffic location.
Biggest problem I have is the number of out of the way traders that have either nothing in them or just a few items that are either worthless or marked up 1000% or more. Not sure there is a fix for that, though I know sometimes those traders are bid on with no intention of them being used.and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."0
