...has gotten worse. Game is crashing every few minutes or so. Everything was fine until the latch patch/maintenance - now ZoS has killed my game. Grrrr

    It's really annoying. The game has worked perfectly for years (discounting bugs etc) but nowit really is unplayable - dying on the final boss in CoA due to GUARANTEED crash. Same in Cyrodiil - unable to PvP because the game will crash for no reason. Truly fed up. Subscription doesn't run out until August. Ugh!

    This is sad... Started today. At every chest I open, the game freezes. I have to kill the proces to stop the game.

    I have a few days left on my subscription, but the game is completely unplayable now.

    Please fix this. It must have something to do with the aprils fool's quest..

    And I tried the settings provided by Peter.

    {Daisy Deathbringer} - Foul necromancer that likes to hang at funerals and graveyards. Mostly plays with the dead, does not deal much death.
    {Major Defiler} - Lovely necromancer who likes to study life. Puts the word romance in necromance.
    {Cindiana Jones} - Defected Templar. Very deadly in Battlegrounds. Likes to wander around Cyrodill.
    {Sideskirt Bob} - Nightblade who got his nickname when a lady Nord mentioned his waistline.

    Mine started crashing today when I try to retrieve attachments from my mail. Never had this happen before ever. Not happy about that.

    I am experiencing a similar issue, and it happens when I am auto-looting dead enemies or chests. The game freezes and requires me to kill the game and restart/relog in. Three crashes just to get writs done on my crafter.

    Apparently there's some things going on with addons and April Fools crap. HarvestMap's one of them. I'm encountering an issue where I can't resurrect unless I actually CLICK to respawn. Just be sure to check them before hand.

    If looting freezes the game and you have Dolgubon's Lazy Writcrafter addon, try to disable it for today. There is April's fool code that is unstable for some players. Tomorrow it is safe again.

    Yeah I just noticed that. It was locking me out of being able to respawn, which to me renders the game unplayable.

    You have an odd idea of what perfect is. The game runs like *** and has done for ages. Problems like you are experiencing have been ongoing since launch, but now that ZOS is hellbent on selling as much as possible with their crown store, it seems the response time to fix the gamebreaking issues is even slower than normal.

    Add-ons caused me to crash ....problem solved after I disabled add-ons... However there is still some issues at times.. PC's are all different builds and software... I been having some video software issueswith my gtx 960..

    heh - wrong choice of words - I mean the game was playable. I've been here since Beta and this is the first time I've ever experienced any really serious problems

    I'm seriously thinking this is a localized issue, my friends on the east coast are having issues, but only when certain add-ons are up and running, my friends in the mid west/or west coast nada.

    I've been an on and off player over the years and recently it's been much more stable for me. I used to quite regularly get stuck on the eternal loading screen but that never happens any more.

    There have some lag spikes and I had a complete disconnect yesterday but it's mostly fine for me. Though I have noticed performance seems to take a hit when the double xp is on - probably all those extra players straining the server.

    I've only had one issue today in a Hew's Bane delve, and that was when I did a /reloadui and it put me into an endless load screen. I had to ctrl-alt-del to close the game and then went back in and it loaded fine. No problems other than occasional lag as usual.

    Disable your addons! The Addon authors took it upon themselves to code poorly written April Fools jokes into their addons and they're causing lockups, crashes, Freezing screens and more.

    Yeah, this is my conclusion as well. Disabling addons solves the problem *for me*. It's a royal PIA but it works.

    Another thing you can do is to right click the desktop shortcut. Go into properties, tick the boxes for run as administrator and disable display scaling on high DPI settings.

    My game was crashing constantly at one stage, early last year. Got to point where it was crashing every couple of minutes. Submitted a ticket and ticking those two boxes was one of the options given, which worked for me. Worth a try.

    Deleting the user settings file can also help, as it can become corrupted. The file is located inside the Elder Scrolls Online folder, in your documents.

    Run a repair. As a last resort, delete the game and reinstall.

    It has to be the add-ons you are using. I've been playing for about 2 hours with nothing, no crashes, freezes, or even lag spikes.

    Also been here since beta,game is spiraling down in playability depending on situations and user definition.

    You are lucky to be playing on pc. Xbox One gives most people I know about 4 full crashes per 10 hour playing period.

    They won't help you. Just go about it another way.

    Store your crafting materials on a pack mule and don't renew your subscription for awhile. Best way to let em know they need to fix stuff is to not keep paying them for breaking it. If you say something is broken, but keep renewing your sub, they have no incentive to care.

    Watching a chunk of their subs disappear makes them see they need to focus on certain fixes that would otherwise never come.
