Help Me Build a Nearly Invincible Tank

I'm looking to create a toon that can solo WBs and the like without breaking a sweat. A little dps would be nice too, so fights don't take forever, but not necessary. I've done a little research, but I'm curious what opinions and insights you guys can offer. Class, race, build, set bonuses?

Thanks (:

If you want to solo world bosses- you'll want a lot of DPS on your "unkillable" tank. While I LOVE playing DK tanks- I'd have to say that the easiest, self-sufficient, and somewhat high DPS tank is a Khajiit StamSorc Tank. I can solo world bosses easily and have pretty high DPS while doing it. (Remember, this is not the meta build for veteran trials tanking!)

    Race: Khajiit
    Class: Stamina Sorc

    Gear:
    2 Stormfist (medium)
5 Briarheart (jewelry, sword, shield) tank bar (jewelry & dual precise daggers) DPS bar
5 Seventh Legion (all heavy armor)

On my tank bar, I run Crit Surge, Pierce Armor, Boundless Armaments, Hurricane, Rearming Trap. Ulti: Flawless Dawnbreaker
On my DPS bar, I run Crit Surge, Rapid Strikes, Boundless Armaments, Steel Tornado, Camo Hunter Ulti: Flawless Dawnbreaker

    Attribute points: 64 toward stamina
    Mundus: The Thief
    Undaunted Passive 9

Stats w/ Max Health/Stam food active and Briarheart AND Seventh Legion procced:

Health: 27,948 (tank bar) Regen: 696
Stam: 28,515 (tank bar) Regen: 1022
Magic: 9,861 (tank bar) Regen: 565

    Weapon Damage: 4022
    Weapon Crit: 56.2%

    Spell Resist: 28,342
    Phys Resist: 31,815

Here's the fun part: I've got a few pieces of my gear that are still epic (purple quality)- so, my resistances will increase when I upgrade them... as well as my weapon damage, crit, and health! Not to mention... that's on my TANK BAR! My Dual wield bar is significantly higher damage and crit, wise!

Also, my weapon damage is inaccurate (too low) because everything dies before I can get the full benefits of the Heavy Armor passive: Wrath!

If you want, I can update you on the max of my benefits after I improve my gear.
Want to enjoy the game more? Try both PvP (crybabies) and PvE (carebears). You'll get a better perspective on everyone's opinion.

I'd probably look no further than Deltia's T3 "Tremorscale" hybrid tank for One Tamriel:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5c-xQ5e4CZE

On the other hand Magicka Nightblades also make good, self-sufficient tanks, so-called Sap tanks. On mine I run 5x Seducer and 5x Footman. It works, though it's an old build I'm not playing much right now. You can mostly stay on the one hand and shield bar, such as:

    Swallow Soul
    Sap Essence
    Refreshing Path
    Siphoning Attacks
Flexi Spot ... Defensive Posture for more tankiness
    Ulti: Bolstering Darkness

Magicka NBs get healing from both Swallow Soul and Sap Essence. Sap Essence is AOE and heal. Swallow Soul is single target and heal over time. For the most healing you'll want to mix it up and use both, regardless of single boss fight or AOE trash fight.

Siphoning Attacks is crucial. If you are surrounded by enough trash, you can perma-block while casting Sap Essence and keep your stamina up.

Refreshing Path is an additional heal and activates an NB passive for increased resistances.

Bolstering Darkness protects you when you're out of stam, at which point you can drop block and restore stamina and magicka via Siphoning Attacks / light attacks.

It's always good to carry multiple armor sets though. Solo tanking can get tedious. I solo some of the easier vet pledges from time to time. The alternative to tanking - I'm thinking of trash fights - is to have so much DPS you mow everything down before it gets you. I quite like Elemental Blockade with an ice staff for this, on my magblade. It's a large snare and high damage.

In general I find a full tanking setup is overkill for many of the world bosses. Some you really need it, but most can be done - and it's more fun that way - with a more DPS focused setup. Not outright DPS, but the kind of balanced setup you'd use for duelling.

To be honest that's like a meta build right now. My build is way different than this. My build is aggressive in ur face DK that heals with the damage he does. I do great DPS and can do vet mealstorm arena with it. I soloed most the open world bosses even some ones I fought that does crazy damage on a player. When I dual players they say I'm a tank but once I put all my DPS on them. They will be shock how much different damage I put on them. Wish consoles will have buff timers and such but I can dream of that soon.

To kill world bosses just go blood craze, blood thirst and rend on a stam sorc using hurricane and Caltrops. You'll never get killed by them and even solo the mad ogre (hardest WB) don't need to be tanky per say, just do mad mad full mong damage whilst in turn getting stupidly op heals.

I assume you are referring to Deltia's build. I think the only thing that's meta about it is that it's a heavy armor SnB build using Tremorscale. By the same token you use Black Rose, which is totally meta right now, so I have no idea what you're trying to say.
My build is aggressive in ur face DK
I watched your build video. Nope. With health regen enchants on jewelry and no proc sets, I'm having a hard time believing it's an aggressive build. By your own admission you recommend werewolf to add some burst.
that heals with the damage he does.
Have you actually watched Deltia's video? One of the key points is that Kight Errant heals you while attacking. I've played his build and it is strong. I have also played Troll King and dual wield. That combination indeed produces a ton of health regen, very likely more than Deltia's build, but the question is how much you need. As a tank I ultimately find damage reduction, e.g. blocking, more important than health regen. It's an interesting build though.
I do great DPS and can do vet mealstorm arena with it.
Deltia does vMA with his build, so what's your point? Again you sound like you haven't watched the video or his preceding "hype" video where he mentions this.

@jaburns Thanks for laying this out. It looks promising so I gave it a shot. I don't have the head piece but I have the rest. When you say "it easily handles world bosses" did you mean prior to One Tamriel? I tried a few random bosses yesterday and got wrecked. It might be a learn to play issue though. Do you switch back and forth between the dps bar and the tank bar? The build has great dps and tankiness, but world bosses put out a lot of DPS and you need those crit heals to proc. I should also say I could only sustain by chaining stam potions on cooldown. I assume this is because this is a HA build. Any additional advice would be appreciated.

I have not taken this into a dungeon yet. I plan to queue up as a tank in some normals first and then hit the vets to see how it does.

Yes this is a Necro to older WB's prior to 1Tam. Today's WB's are a wee bit stronger lol. This should be closed.

my stamplar tank can hardly sustain long enough to solo a world boss. but mag sorc dps can easily solo them by spamming hardened ward.
