Skyreach Madness

So during the jester event I have been grinding skyreach probably for a total of 30 hours, Does anyone else start to go insane after your 20th or so consecutive run? I find my resource management just goes completely out the window and I get nuked by 70 undead.

    Did your armour break?

I generally hate grinding like that, I end up in a fuzzy head dead feeling. Why I try to keep grinding to as little as possible and just do it in spurts whilst doing something more engaging between.

I've grinded inside a quest area. I've tried to get 10CP a day, but today I caved in and did some quests instead. Before the 100% event I didn't bother to grind at all. The plan is to reach above the 400 threshold that many seem to want you to be above for team content etc.

No matter how much people grind, be it desert zombies or ruin zombies, there's still the L2P component. Met plenty of people over CP500 that were total noobs, but somehow they also got an ego boost from that number and became immune to any suggestions. In my case it took exactly 6 months (23.11.2015-21.05.2016) to go from CP0-500, most of those spent doing dungeons. I've since gained another 380 CP in 10 months. The only time I grinded is when I finished research and respecced the recovered points on my main to unlock the 2W skill, the weapon ults on the other skill lines and a few more skills. There were my most miserable two days in this game, going over the same monsters over and over again in quick succession. I'd rather play with a CP300 player who did end game content (maelstrom, dragonstar, dungeons, trials) than a CP600 one who did nothing but grind using the same 2-3 AOE attacks against dumb mobs with no mechanics.

Like two months ago I grinded from CP449-CP600 in four days without double XP in Skyreach. I didn't mind it at all. I was just using a magicka nightblade and spamming destro ultis and shields. It is really easy with that set up, no sustain issues with magicka at all. I would just put on a good podcast/playlist/stand up comedy show on Netflix and listen to that while grinding.

I like how you took a subject on grinding, and made it all about how you don't like other players based on skill.

Well I noticed at least the ones who have low CP are a bit more open to suggestions, but once they start gaining CPs at a fast pace they grow teflon skin. That's why I have much less trouble with the former than the latter. There have been plenty of cases where I actually helped pre-50 and low CP people I ran random dungeons with, explaining skills, builds, crafting armor etc. than high CP people that were extremely rude to me when I pointed out what they were doing wrong in their rotation, build, reacting to mechanics etc. Many live with the impression that having a lots of CP makes them demigods. I'm quite intrigued why people are just so eager to endlessly grind just to increase a number, instead of playing the game and letting it increase "naturally". So it's not about the grind itself, but the mentality powering it.
