Treasure Hunter passive should be an Legerdemain Skill, not part of the CP tree!

Is their any particular reason why it isn't part of the Legerdemain passive skill?

Yo ZOS. I know you want to further screw up our builds by wanting to remove both Warlord and Magician from the CP tree, but how about removing something that actually needs removing to be replace with a world skill instead?

    Nope. Not at all. Not when you've been trying to grind the same dungeon and trial over and over again, and not getting any results from it.

    This is about the only choice/consequence left in the game, it should stay how it is.

    You want epic sustainable deeps, you can't have your chest buff.

    You want to take a hit on the sustain, you can have your chest buff.

    Care to explain why I must sacrifice my dps build an additional financial lost of each repsec just to put points in CP to give me this passive? Why are you opposing the movement of this passive to the Legerdemain world skill tree instead of it being on CP? Why does this passive have to be in CP anyways? Can you explain me a reason?

    This passive is useless in dungeons and trials actually and only for farming overland and other sets that drop in variable quality. For example they will increase the chance of getting a purple ring from a dolmen chest over blue or green, but it will not increase the chances of getting a sharpened Mother's Sorrow sword vs. getting a training Plague Doctor destruction staff in a random chest in Deshaan. Loot in dungeons and trials has the quality already locked to blue on normal and purple on veteran so the passive will change nothing. In dungeons you are farming for traits, not quality, which, in the case of armor and weapons, can be easily improved. Jewelry already comes in fixed traits, based on set weight (arcane - light, robust - medium, healthy - heavy, with the exception of some named items in dungeons), and quality is fixed based on the difficulty, similar to weapons and armor. Bottom line is that it makes no sense to mess up the effectiveness of your build trying to get better gear in dungeons or trials. It might make sense if you are actively farming Rivenspire dolmens and random chests for necropotence jewelry, but not weapons or armor from bosses. Overall one of the least useful passives in the CP tree.

    @Turelus has a point...

    1) in dungeons I don't care to respec those 75 points I (didn't) took to have the looter passive

    2) in trials I do, but I get the plunder in the end, costs me nothing

    NAh, leave it as it is. With the morrowind changes to sustain maybe everything will be different again

    Because what you're asking for is your cake and to eat it.

    You've come to one of the few points in the game where focusing fully into highly sustainable DPS isn't an advantage. Rather than accept this is a trade off you want it changed so you can have the best of both worlds.

    This is a good thing for the game, because it creates choice and consequence, something which is sorely lacking in the rest of it. You should have to make hard choices from time to time about how you build your character.

    Although an extreme (and terrible) analogy this would be akin to arguing "I should be able to wear full light amour for the perks, but also have the full defence value of heavy armour".

    Nailed it. RPGs are about choices and consequences. You can't have all the things.

    This is a fairly inconsequential example of "having your cake and eating it too". Your example provided is really what needs to be balanced, not whether or not chests can have purple jewelry. Big damage and sustain and survivability should have to be chosen while sacrificing something else, not a non-combat passive.
