So, I'm no Andy S, but I'm definitely not new to maelstrom. I'm trying new characters in maelstrom.

I actually did really good though stage 1 thru 8, got to stage 9 and went through a half stack of soul gems.

I could not figure out why I was taking a dirt nap so easy. I kept at it and finally beat it. It wasn't til I was after I realized when I went to repair my gear, I ate the wrong food. I beat stage 9 with 13 k health in all light armor....

I thought this kinda funny, thought you guys would get a kick out of this. Here's one of the close runs.

Lol. Pretty amusing stuff. Some advice though, to help you have an easier time on Stage 9's boss round.

    - You can block his charged blast (the move where he charges up, and shoots the blast that pushes you back). It'll save you stamina.
    - You can turn on numbers and percentages, so that you can see just how much health and other resources you have from both a number and percentage perspective.
    - For phase 3 of the boss fight (after phase 2 aka the Crystal Phase), always be sure to prioritize grabbing gold spirits. Then focus on killing the Crematorial Guards, regardless of boss health. Then focus on killing the summoner. Or if there is no guard, then kill the summoner. Then focus on the boss.

I was in a PuG dungeon with a dude the other night - he starts telling us about how he just had the "run of his life" in vet Maelstrom. He said he was going through it feeling so in the zone. Usually takes him over an hour to run it, he says ... but THIS time he was on stage 9 in like 25 minutes. He couldn't believe it. Said he was flawless, couldn't believe how good he was doing - gets to the final boss and just wrecks him - he was so stoked thinking about his new Flawless Conqueror title - then he loots the chest ... blue ring.

I have where I can see the numbers on my other toons, just hadn't thought about doing it on this guy. On my mag sorc, stam sorc, stam blade, and mag plar, I can Usually I can burn him down before the deadroth spawns, and the summoner can finish.

For some reason this guy didn't have the deeps to do that and it didn't go as planned lol. Gonna have to figure out this toon, because I really like the way it feels. #newcharacterprobs lol

Never thought about blocking, I've always rolled it. I'll give that a try and see if it will speed up my times.
