Press whichever button on Xbox opens Options Menu>Help>Customer Support>Report Player

I think you can do it from the chat menu too.

Not on PS4 at least, fairly certain.

Simplest way I know of is Options Button>Help>Customer Support>Report Player

Unless of course you're standing near them, then just cursor over them and hole Options Button>Report Player

Hi peeps I am a moaning old woman so I have to apologise, but I want to see if anyone else feels the same . . .
I have been in craglorn for the last couple of days doing achievements and questing, I went into the delve Haddocks market just to complete it, I got to the final boss and I was promptly told to not kill the boss and also put my pets away as they were farming the boss to which I told them NO
then the next day I went back as I thought ok maybe it might be quieter and I can do my quest and no I was met with about 10 peeps who where using digusting language and wouldn't let me finish my quest.
I must admit I did upset me as I have just as much right to be there if not more as I was actually playing the game and not farming, it would have taken 2 mins out of their farming time in order for me to do my quest surly it's just common decency . . . . .

First, it's unclear to me why you were told not to kill the boss. Killing the boss or anything is part of getting the loot. They will get the loot and you will get your quest done. Sounds like bunch of idiots you ran into. Good for you for sticking up for yourself. Besides, the gear and equipment, i.e. Fire, Air and the Knowledge set aren't that good, if that's what that group was farming for. Quacks me up when folks need to start a group for farming, i.e. dolmens, bear or dreugh group, etc., and then dish on others coming into the area who declined to group up with them.

I hate farming or grinding, but after doing quests for your first couple toons, it's not much more exciting to do quests for additional new toons created. So, for purple jewelries and good set pieces, you have to keep farming those dolmens, world bosses, delves and public dungeons. Having a group or being in a group for farming is fine, but it is not fine when a group expects everybody else to jump into such group or concede to them in "their" farming area. There is really no need to be in a group. I farm solo just fine. Heck, I've leveled up two toons already to level 50 during this double xp Jester event and currently on my third toon, soloing. I just ignore those that moan and complain when I decline the request to group.

Well, if people are rude just put them on ignore list. It's that simple. I've put people there for spamming chat, being rude to me or even playing badly. It's totally legit to isolate yourself from people who you don't want to interact with. As for not killing bosses, simply go your own way. It's not like it's instanced content and you are grouped with those people for some kind of achievement. If it were CoH2 and you were killing Nerien'eth ghosts and failing the HM then yeah, people would have had a reason to get mad at you, but a delve boss is irrelevant.

Had you been part of their farming group and they were 'offering' instruction, that would be one thing.

Getting ticked because you were there to complete a quest and then being asses about it? Well, that's just motivation to grief them right back.

The amount of time I would linger to kill spawning bosses, even to get zero loot, would go up proportionally to the level of *** they were choosing to be. I'd be willing to invest some time even beyond the quest completion, and if they really wanted to go on about it, I'd invite friends to burn the boss even faster - preferably all with pets in tow.

The longest you're going to delay anyone's game is 5-15 minutes. They'll survive.

Unless you're specifically doing a group event (which reasonable would have certain requirements), you've just as much right as anyone else to be there.
    1. Report
    2. Ignore
    3. Kill Boss
    4. Grief by killing more bosses (optional, I suppose...)
    5. Continue enjoying your game

BTW, if you announce this kind of thing in zone chat, there are those of us that will happily group with you and ensure you get your kill credit. Disrupting people that choose to be that way will be payment enough!

Pretty sure its one of the bosses who rapidly spawn npcs to its aid and people kill those while letting the boss alive since the respawn time of a boss can be quiet long.

Pretty sure, with derps like that, it would be loud and long, not quiet. :p

Just like how the crown store team are responsible for group finder being broken.
As people keep saying they should spend less time on crown items and more on fixing group finder this must be what happened, they got sales and marketing people to program the group finder changes as that was the community demand.

Farming and grinding gives you far more gold and materials then questing so why should anyone waste time to do quest when you can achieve far more by farming?

I would have taken that boss down and moved on. No one owns a spawn.

Actually, I would have stuck around and taken the boss down again in this particular case, as they want to leave the boss up to exploit. Do that about 15 or 20 times and it would leave me satisfied and smiling.

I can't agree. I remember people running past mobs when they weren't worth killing and people complained about that.

This problem can't be fixed. There will always be people who like pushing buttons over and over so numbers get larger. There will also always be people with social issues.

That's the best thing you can do actually if you are on console mute/ignore their account if you are on PC put them on your Ignore list, don't engage because that will make it worse, it gives them what they want attention.

I do know that since last patch ZoS has gone on a banning holy war against people who disrupt gameplay like that, in a couple cases that I have heard about they are pretty much deleting the accounts of the Harassers.

I know FFXI had the most strict ingame and forum policy for instance you got banned on the forums you got banned in game too, or if you acted like that the mods would summon something to eat your character before you were perma banned from the game. I would love to see that type of moderation in ESO, but they are banning people, because they aren't going to have the toxicity we find on the forums move to in game.

While the players are clearly idiots, I don't believe they stopped her in any way from completing the quest. The worst they could do is not help her. I suppose they could lead mobs to her. It isn't like bosses scale based on number of players.

@Hexkitty aka Moaning Merna. You should not have to deal with such issues as you mention.

While is may not be best to start the fight yourself since they may just let you die, as soon as they start the fight join in. For quest purposes it doesn't matter how much damage you do. It's loot drops that work off damage.

Once the boss dies you should be able to move on with your quest and be done with the childish behavior.
