Disgusting behaviour in craglorn

Hi peeps I am a moaning old woman so I have to apologise, but I want to see if anyone else feels the same . . .
I have been in craglorn for the last couple of days doing achievements and questing, I went into the delve Haddocks market just to complete it, I got to the final boss and I was promptly told to not kill the boss and also put my pets away as they were farming the boss to which I told them NO
then the next day I went back as I thought ok maybe it might be quieter and I can do my quest and no I was met with about 10 peeps who where using digusting language and wouldn't let me finish my quest.
I must admit I did upset me as I have just as much right to be there if not more as I was actually playing the game and not farming, it would have taken 2 mins out of their farming time in order for me to do my quest surly it's just common decency . . . . .

I'm sorry some players did that to you. I would report them and just go about your business. I would definitely have kept your pets out just to stick it to them. I NO CASES should farming players ruin the gaming experience for other players.

Report them for harassment, put them on ignore so you can't see them trashtalk, and go do what you want.

You paid for this game same as everyone, we all get to complete content.

Don't get it, they was farming boss and you needed to kill it for quest.
If so you need to do 1/10 of damage on boss to get loot, not sure is that is needed for quest or just do any damage is enough.
Aim for 10%
And yes they was idiots, high chance any random player coming in is either for quest or achievement so player will leave after one kill.

As for the idiots, i assume you are on console, turning off sound works
You can complement their intelligence, cursing their mothers and their build if you feel like it.

Pretty sure its one of the bosses who rapidly spawn npcs to its aid and people kill those while letting the boss alive since the respawn time of a boss can be quiet long.

You can thank @ZOS_GinaBruno and @ZOS_JessicaFolsom including rest of the ZOS team for turning this game into a giant size grind and farm fest. No longer questing is important for as long as you can grind and farm.

Farming and grinding gives you far more gold and materials then questing so why should anyone waste time to do quest when you can achieve far more by farming?

I think ZOS should re name this game from The Elder scrolls Online to The Elder scrolls farming or grinding... something similar to that nature.

They have no claim over any bosses more than you, and abuse is never warranted.

There are methods to report players in game if they harass you, however it has to go passed just having potty mouths and into more personal attacks before ZOS customer service normally take action.

As for the boss completion grab some friends and good gamers (like Tylos who offered) and go kill it. If it ruins their farming that's a shame but you tried the nice way first. Also as frustrating as it can be dealing with people like this always be the better person and don't give smack/abuse back.

Problem is, there are some bosses that require you to get the last hit on for it to count in your achievements. With a large group farming all the delves right now, makes it next to impossible for you to finish these. They need to remove these requirements from certain bosses because of jerks like these, that keep you from completion.

Even if bosses don't respawn right away or I did get the kill I want to play the game not be insulted or see highly sexualised content people are writing and hear hear raidentenshu I completely agree

AFAIK no bosses require a last hit and only achievements for this are PvP kills.

As the OP said they were told not to kill the boss it sounds more like people were farming adds than the boss itself. There have been a number in the game where adds gives XP/loot and people farm them (some also involving exploits to bug the boss).

Yes someone did mention in text that if you pull one of the bosses monsters outside the door the main boss keeps respawning

Then you may also wish to bug report this and potentially report it as an exploit. As this is abusing unintended mechanics to gain an advantage.

I agree that they were jerks, but I would have used that as an opportunity to kill the boss. Just wait for them to strike, then get in and take your piece of the pie.

Personally I hate the idea of having to grind and farm, but it's become essential for me. I accidentally deleted my crafter, and there's nobody on in my guild anymore. I'm basically reduced to farming OL sets for now.

If they were farming the boss constantly then complaining you do damage on him then they are the idiots. You can't constantly farm a delve boss, because there's a 3-5 minute loot cooldown on getting loot. And most bosses have a shorter respawn timer. So if you stay there and constantly kill him right as it respawns about 1 in 2 kills will be "duds" with nothing more than a few dozen coins awarded instead of the usual loot (set gear, soul gem, style material and/or motif page). The only thing worth farming in Craglorn right now is the Ra-Gada motif, which sells for 10-15K gold per page. But that's dropping fast since so many people are farming it. So I expect that dies down anyway in a few weeks, once the price falls to 5K or so. I've tried farming that myself from Anka-Ra burials and Anomalies which have a much better chance than delve bosses, and still only got 2-3 pages in about 2 hours. A total waste of time for me. I'd rather farm Silken Ring & Mazzatun that sells for at least 3x that, takes half an hour and it's guaranteed drop, then save money and buy Ra-Gada in a few weeks for low prices.

Ok, in this case its simply to turn off sound and kill the boss.
had they been polite you could be nice and done quest later.
Killing the boss is intended gameplay.

Just ignore them, attack the boss and get what you came for? This would only be a problem if they were actively preventing people from participating in that delve, which aside from their stupid, selfish demands they are unable to really do (to my knowledge). Its so silly that these people seriously think they've got some special right to effectively hijack the game; I met similar people doing the same thing in Hew's Bane.

Its the internet. Sadly, its life. Just collapse your chat pane, turn off local chat or ignore them. You can't control what people post and say (unless folks embrace the increasingly popular tendency to Censor all the Things), but you can decide to ignore and rise above it. Honestly, we all need to adapt to a world full of obnoxious fools and opinions we find detestable; it is a sign of maturity.
