However - I have already spent 5 mil on housing, including the Daggerfall Overlook (3.8 mil) and Gardner House (1 mil), so am sitting pretty.Australian on PS4 NA server.

I like for my characters to have around 20k on hand at all times and I'm currently saving for 2 separate houses, so money being saved for Houndings goes in a bank (and that's the 500k so far) while money I want to use on couple of more medium homes and at least another small one (twin arches, need to finish achievement for that one) is staying on my main.
P.S. I constantly keep falling back every weekend when luxury vendor comes around, plus there was that time I set myself back by 100k in order to be able to buy a scale of felonious recompense.... saving gold is a challenge :Pdirty worthless casual.

✭✭✭✭3 - 4 milHonestly, my poll answer was just a guess, and in retrospect it might be low. I keep 1 million in the bank these days, down from 3 million before housing hit. Several of my characters have half a million or so each in walking around money. The others have lower in 6 figures.
I wasn't counting mats, but I'm in pretty good shape for mats to actually equip my characters. Furnishing mats are another story, of course, as is Nirnroot ...
I surely have sunk at least 2 million into housing/furnishing, if we count everything I've spent directly or indirectly in pursuit of writ vouchers.0 -

It's inflation and the lack of merchant addons like MM and TTC, everyone on console has more money as a result. However the flipside of this is if everyone has a ton of gold then the value of everyone's gold goes down. You can sell items for very high amounts because everyone has a lot of gold, which is no different than selling items at low amounts because everyone has less gold. In one case the gold flows freely so it is devalued, in another gold is harder to get so it has more value. The console market is not as good as you think it is.1 -

The purple and gold furnishing patterns and items had the biggest impact, they are still going strong and very expensive.0 -

I'm on Xbox so I'd assume PS4 prices are similar, I was playing at the time and it went within an hour (Mournehold trader) so if anything it was probably underpriced.
Now I've got everything I don't intend farming the quests for purple recipes as the drop rate seems too low to make it worthwhile (I got 3 purple recipes from nearly 40 boxes)EU - EP - Dunmer - Dragonknight - Magicka DPS - CP160

My good armors are golded and the test armors only get epic until they prove themselves, master writs are ok, but they no longer suck gold from the coffers. I'm waiting to see the Morrowind houses and furnishings before I go on another spending binge.
