Making peace with the fact my Redguard templar will never amount to anything and changing her to a dunmer DPS machine.

That allowed me to keep my Breton Templar which can then focus on pvp.

Best decision I've made on this game? That would be not forcing myself to play this game anymore. The lagg is bad for people like me. My signal is not good. I've always blamed my *** signal cause we have no fast internet in my little town. Every day I log in I have to deal with the lag. Even running around trying to do writs I got lagged out and kicked. But than I played Final Fantasy 14 and I have no lagg issues. Even thou that game have a lot more content than Eso. The advantage of having multiple servers I guess. Wished eso fixed the lagg cause if morrowind doesn't fix that than I don't know why people continue to struggle with this game.

For me, it's going ahead and getting my WW bite. Yes, it's more than useless - and probably hurts my DPS wayyyy more than it helps, (especially compared to other available Ults.)

But my god, it's so much fun

There's no actual "best" decision but a succession of decision that have proven good over time. I have selected 7:

    1) Not rushing things by grinding, taking time to get as many combat and utility skills on every of my active characters, and actually learning to play them in various settings, because it gives me utility and flexibility

    2) Creating at least magicka and stamina char for each class, because game balance seems to move back and forth with each patch

    3) Making my first character master crafter, and not splitting professions as I have seen some players do - it has saved me a lot of time and money: finding the missing motifs just before One Tamriel took me 10 days straight of scanning every guild store and spending 2.7-2.8M

    4) Leveling all 6 crafting skills on my other characters and speccing them accordingly provides a lot of money and resources from daily writs, allows me to collect top tier base mats and recover a lot more of the more valuable ones from deconstruction and refining.

    5) Collecting gear with the right traits that may prove useful in the future, even if I don't have currently a build that uses it (ex. SPC collected from the times my Templar was still dormant, training riding somewhere in Shornhelm)

    6) Selling everything that can be sold above vendor price on trade guilds, it's surprising how much money you can make in the long run just selling surplus at cut prices (ex. some zone sets that are not really BiS, but still useful on some builds)

    7) Not rushing to buy things right after they are introduced, and not spending money on housing while it has no utility.

After completing all the gameplay I wanted to try, maxing out my crafting, obtaining all the gear I wanted and growing bored with the game I started roleplaying with a guild of daedric curse-inflicted weirdos in Valenwood. It was completely different from anything I had ever tried before, but getting my favorite character involved in heavy roleplay added a whole new dimension to the game and added a creative challenge that was really fun.

I don't grind. If item takes more than ~10 runs i don't need that item. Unless i really enjoy content (and there is no content that stays enjoyable after a few runs). Why? Because i don't like to waste my time on something i don't enjoy. Nobody's gonna give that time back.

For me, it's taking the repeated macro stamp of many players with "L2P".

I still have a ton of questions, but some I want to try and figure the answer out for myself.

I never thought I'd be one of these people who focused on "dps", but I'm now starting to see why it matters. Not for PvP, but just to survive boss fights.

Once I get good, my ultimate test will be taking on a world boss solo, and I know just the one. Can't remember where she's at, but that pesky Wispmother has a future date with me.

If I can beat her solo, then I can finally believe I will no longer be a burden to groups in trials.

Not sure these correlate. You can put a Templar in full heavy with 2k mag regen and kill just about any overland WB will take a while but pretty easy. This toon would be worse than suck in a trial.

The best decision I have ever made was subscribing to ESO plus. The crafting bag has increased my game play time by leaps and bounds. I no longer have to juggle crafting items between toons and doing writs on 8 toons is a breeze having all materials in one location.
