+1'd. But yeah, @raidentenshu_ESO, dude, I get where you're coming from. But there's really no harm in asking. And this is important to the guy and his friends. When my guild lost a much beloved member, I honestly considered asking for something similar too. But didn't thinking ZoS wouldn't do anything. Not saying your suggestion was a bad one about the website, but that other thing was cold. Everyone has a different way of mourning for a lost loved one, let them have this moment...

That is what memorial websites are for. What the OP is asking for is another addition to the game that may require a server shut down to implement another download patch to upload that item into the actual game itself. Yes it's important for his guild members and to him, but is it really important that requires other players to be thrown out of the game for this non critical patch? You need to think realistic and not be so emotional.

Again I'm sorry for the loss of this good player, but I really would like for ZOS developers to pay more attention to fix the current bugs that is within the game it self.

Perhaps something as simple as a book at the Undaunted Enclaves. Fallen Undaunted or something. A book of names. People who want lost players mentioned could contact the Devs, and all it would take is a line in the book. Simple and easy way where anyone who loses someone ESO related can have a place where it is, and would be easy to maintain.

I ran with this player a great many time as well. He was a great healer and wonderful guild member and an amazing person. It was always fun to run with him and see him start posting his Crab-Slaughter-Crane. His tradition is what drove me to get my own so that i can join in on it. I would love to see this become something in game.

Well it'd be perfectly reasonable to make a decor of the Crab-Slaughter-Crane and I'm sure everyone would want signs you could write messages on so you could build the memorial yourself.

He suggested a small memorial plaq to put up in their guild, which can easily be put in during a standard patch.. If that can screw over your precious time, you're the one we should be sorry for instead..

You're right. It isn't just about me but it involves everyone else that is having issues with the game.

Who is asking them to throw players out of the game? No one is asking for that. How many regular maintenance things could they implement something like this with? They have a team of workers. No one has asked them to stop paying attention to the bugs or critical elements of the game here son. We just asked a simple question that can not be answered by you or any other player. Only the Devs can determine if it's worth their time to look into this or not. We're not asking for the world here and this game is s specific player super enjoyed on a daily basis. It was special to him and specific to him hence our request. Please keep your negative thoughts to your self or a different thread. Please. I'm asking you to respect his memory and those of others that have passed. Let the Devs decide. Thank you

Oh my god, yes! This! This wouldn't be hard to implement at all and could easily be done along side the regular maintenance, so it wouldn't really be inconvenient to anyone.

Since the lags aren't being fixed for extended periods of time anyway, I would much rather endure another day of them , if that means doing something as beautiful as what OP asked for.

The only thing I'd like to add - is that it would be great if it wasn't just a one time thing and maybe ZOS could have someone handling cases like that, designing characters(making an NPC if the character's name is something that could be a name in the game's universe)/easter eggs(as in placing that fish in the game) for players. After all, it's more meaningful than some random NPCs who have no stories behind them.

He was a good friend of mine as well. He was always up for running anything and the laughs that would come from the runs were amazing. I don't have the heart to get rid of my Crab-Slaughter-Crane and still link it in his honor.

For those of you who are wondering... his ex-wife runs the RNG system in ESO and that's why we cannot seem to get the loot we want.

If the devs can't make this request happen, we could still honor him as a playerbase. It would be really cool to pick out a day and zone to spam chat with the Crab-Slaughter-Crane for a few minutes. Sure, some people will undoubtedly rage, and it doesn't have to be a very popular zone, but we could have one big Crab-Slaughter-Crane spamfest for the family and guildies.

I was not suggesting it was not a legit question. It was something that crossed my mind when the first player I knew passed away last year. A great strong player that was well liked and respected by everyone that knew, just like the second player I know that passed away.

The question I posed was merely something that Zos has to consider. Was not intending to derail the thread or anything.

I've been so busy trying to get my tank ready for trials that I've gone a long while without the relaxation fishing has brought me when I've needed a break from the grind.

Ignoring the negative people here I think I have a suggestion for a quest in a neutral zone such as Craglorn called "honour the dead" where you collect gifts and present them to a shine room and on the walls names of the nominated could be displayed.

It would be low maintenance for ZOS to update, I guess the only problem is there are some people out that that would do anything to get their name up on the wall but I guess ZOS could check to see if anyone had logged into the account for a period of time before it went up.

I was recently in Stormhold when suddenly about ten people galloped onto and over the bridge, and just randomly began fishing before someone let out a cheer and everyone rode off again.

I was really confused as to what was happening. Was that your guild honoring your friend?

Ahhh this reminds me of a destiny player, they made an awesome video to contribute him and at the end he runs into the light, got me right in the feels I was crying after it.

I want you and your guild to have your plaque, however I don't have the power ): come to think of it housing items should probably allow things to be named or wrote on? (I have no idea about housing I don't own one nor have I played with any of it Cyrodiil player only) However if you have played the sims games when you name something in game you can actually see it in the game, perhaps this feature could be added to trophies and plagues and you guys can then rename items. ect. This way its something incorporated into the game as well. I hope you can contact one of the Zos people and they approve it...

I want to send my condolences to the guild and the players friends and family.
