Seems more like Sanguine, actually. Sheo isn't into anything whose main outcome is that people have genuine fun -- at least, nothing that sane people could recognize as such. Sanguine, meanwhile, just wants you to party.

I most certainly would have acquiesced to attend such an event, but me compunctions were to steadfastly refuse.

See, I prefer to "up the ante" so to speak, and mudballs simply aren't quite as satisfying as Mud Tentacles. You know, the kind that pick a bunch of you lot up, squish you practically in half before delightfully flinging you into a long lost lake of Guarana Bones. Don't give me that look! THEY MOST DEFINITELY EXIST. Well, mostly, anyway. You're not likely to get those splinters out of your arse in this era, or even the previous one, before it all happened....

Well they do actually talk about it, I think it's the Queen's Jester that does? One of them anyways. But beyond that, no. So just in passing perhaps, no one knows for sure, so the possibility is real that Sheogorath is.

Some people say Sheogorath, others say Sanguine. I disagree on both fronts.

I didn't think of this at the time, but I think Malacath's hand has touch this event. Sure, the theme of the festival doesn't suit him at all, but he does like things that are ugly and then we have those three jesters hosting the event...

Especially considering one is an Orc...

Agreed. He's already the primary focus of the Mages Guild and of a critical quest in Grahtwood. The less Sheogorath is involved in at the moment, the more potential there is for a large Sheo-centric content pack in a couple of years' time.

Don't want to bring any spoilers or anything but anyone that knows the lore, knows Sheogorath has something important he should be doing really soon. I'll say no more and you can research this at your own peril.

Sheogorath is overplayed and a really *** parody of 'insanity'. His form of crazy is just 'randumb' rather than real psychosis and madness.
Insanity isnt all cheese puns and nonsense, it is terrifying and twisted. A better comic relief Prince is Sanguine.
He toes that line between "haha funny" and "oh god this is going too far." Best example is his public dungeon in Shadowfen. Especially when you use the trophy you get, ans one of the spies you trapped forever in Sanguine's demesne comments on missing their family or something.
Thats what I like about Sanguine, his sphere is decadent excess taken to the extreme, and the extreme gets pretty dark.
