way to disable the chat window?

Is there any way to disable the chat window? it pops up CONSTANTLY and if you have any text on there it stays on forever and pops back all the time - its really annoying espeically if you want to have the UI as immersive as possible...is there anyway to turn it of that i havent found? or at least stop it from popping back up all the time?

There's a corner you can click to make it slide out of view .

Well, if you want to not see chat, you can right click the little tab at the top, and turn off certain chat types (/zone, /say, etc).

yes, but it pop's back up all the time for some reason even if i dont get new chat messages / text...and with a gamepad you can't easily click on that button...isn't there a permament way?

I think you can turn off the HUD in Settings/Social but I'm not logged in to confirm this at the moment.

I have noticed that the chat still pops up every now and then if you have friends logging in and out. It's extremely annoying

Bring up your In-game menu, scroll to Options, then Social at the bottom. Chat setting should be at the top of this sub-menu.

*I am also assuming that all platforms have the same menu setup. Correct me if I'm wrong.

yeah but i can't choose anything to disable it? am i just being an idiot or? i am playing on pc but with a controler (DON'T JUDGE ME)
