Yeah, apart from that quest with the Sun Sighter which is mean to Destroy Seap Viper Invasion ships but ends up just drawing a little line of fire on the deck with 0 sailors or people to be seen, without doing any damage to the boat at all.

    That quest felt lazy AF.

AD storyline is better than EP. At least it adds up. EP is just random bits. There's a big fire thing, then a woman with no pants, then save some eggs, then a big grumpy guy needs of to kill a giant.

But Razum-dar and the silvenar are the smuggest, most annoying people in the game. So I hate the AD story for that.

Yeah actually to me the "theme" for the EP was "we might tear each other apart" while the others were more "something is trying to tear us apart"

So EP was in feel more like a young strained coalition while the dominion seemed older but in transition.

    As a Daggerfall loyalist...

    I have to admit...

AD storylines made me feel a lot more than the ones from DC.

    Storyline 1:

Like that one story in Greenshade with Aranias and her destiny to protect the forests of Valenwood where we got the chance to explore and influence her life when she was abandoned by her parents, looking at us as if we were the best things that happened in her entire life. It may seem small to us because we jumped in and out of her story but the ramifications it had on her had a big impact on me. It made me feel like a true hero. That said, I started tearing up when she took up the mantle of the Wilderqueen - especially when she said that she never wants to forget me.

    msGgQv2.png

    Storyline 2:

Or the story with Hartmin and Mirrilir in Greenshade - two people who love each other dearly. Thought it was going to be another simple quest where I do this and that but I was surprised that it was much more... Hartmin wanted me to pick up the most beautiful flowers in the game - as a reminder of the love they both had for each other since they were young. The great thing is, this was during the night so the flowers really stood out - and after Hartmin's final message to his husband, damn... all tears went loose.

    GBPqZpv.png

"We are not now that strength which in old days moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are; One equal temper of heroic hearts, made weak by time and fate, but strong in will, to strive, to seek and not to yield."

    ---EP QUEST SPOILER ALERT---
ZoS clearly favours AD in terms of quests and even the soundtracks! My main is an EP and the alliance storyline is at best, alright.

The most memorable and vivid event from the alliance storyline was the massacre of Argonian spawns by the Dominion, which made my blood boil and my heart shattered into a million pieces.
AD's vile and pure cruelty actions are abysmal. *looking at you 'Queen' Ayrenn*
And sadly that is the most immersed I've ever felt being in EP. King Jorunn is also very much absent in the questline and it made me felt distant as compared to playing in AD and DC.

The only scenery and overworld landscape I love in EP are the Rift and especially Eastmarch. I just LOVE snow and high mountains!
I'm not super ecstatic on Stonefall's familiar landscape and scenery as I've never felt any kind of fondness to them in Morrowind.

While AD on the other hand have the unforgettable and outstanding side character, Razum-dar, which made a lot of the quests very fun and tantalisingly good! (No I'm not a masochist)
And as OP has shared, the defense of the ship is nothing short of refreshingly different than any other alliance storyline.

Moving on, the soundtrack in the AD zones are amazing! AD zone music as a whole really fits the greenery that's common in a lot of the zones.
And this particular piece below is my most favourite ESO soundtrack of all time! Go ahead and have a go on it and let me know what you think of it.

    FOR THE COVENANT!

No, seriously, I think the Covenant has some amazing stuff in it. And I mean, Darien! That guy eh? find him a drink and a good woman, he's happy as wossname.

After having done all 3 questlines to completion, I find it hard to say which is my favourite.

Razum-Dar is quite the character, I found the queen a bit.....I don't know...she's just a child in comparison to the others, and its painfully obvious at times.

However, Emeric - Now he's your common-mans King. Into the fight, from the front, and all that. Plus, he seems the wisest one of them all. Seems to know his stuff.

Jorunn...he's a nord isnt he. He's too aggressive, and seems capable of being too fast to judge a situation before charging in, swords swinging.

I think EP has some of the most challenging stuff for the levels at which they appear, and is the only place where just taking the wrong path will kill you regardless of your level. You either fall in lava, or freeze to death...or get eaten by crocodiles and wamasu.

DC's lands are very tame, and even more so are AD's. Although, the jungle in Grahtwood is amazingly easy to get lost in.

I like the Alik'r desert, but I love the snowy landscapes of Eastmarch as well. Plus, "Northpoint Nocturne" is by far my favourite track in the game.

Pffft Covenant's propaganda. Stupid Emeric is just a whiny little ***** who whines about everything.

The Queen is wise, and fair.

It's such a terrible idea when you describe an alliance as evil like how DC and AD are portrayed in EP questline. DC is evil, they do this they do that to us, AD is evil they do this they do that to us. It's like they are short on ideas of how to create a proper villain for that particular region. It's lazy writing.

What's the point of trying to sterilize all the Argonians when you also provide Argonians a shelter and a home in Grahtwood? It doesn't seem right. What's the point? This is a war between 3 alliances, all have different motives but none is righteous and none is evil. Yet you just wrote that the 2 other alliances are evil. It feels off.

If you take a look at AD questline, all the "bad guys" are interesting. First one is a *** group leader who wants to deport everyone who isn't a High Elf out of Summerset Isles. Second one is a Bosmer leader who lost the civil war to Camoran, we kinda feel sorry for him, as "history is written by the victor". Third one is just amazing, it's not a story of a villain, and it's also not your story, it's the story of a hero (heroin) and it is great. Fourth one, we take a deeper look at the story of Bosmeri culture, the villain is a guy who desperately turned to Hircine because he lost the love of his life as she had to fulfill her duty to the Bosmeri culture, we actually feel sorry for him. We don't even have to talk about the last one right? People love Khajiit and the writers deliver an amazing story about Khajiiti culture.
Well, take a look at EP's villains. 2 out of 5 are "other alliances are evil and "we tomatoes are the only righteous alliance!". DCs are evil necromancers who are trying to do some God-knows-what in Stonefalls, don't get me start with AD they are trying to steal f****** eggs in Shadowfen! It feels so off.

Think its an general agreement that the EP zone is weakest in quests and environment, this was pointed out during launch.
DC is better and and AD is a bit ahead. This was pointed out a lot during launch.

I just had to stop playing for a few minutes to type this. I've been playing since console release and there have been few "WOW" moments quite like what I just experienced.

Fighting the sea serpent on the Prowler was pretty epic for me. Yeah, the mechanics for the ballistae were quite limited but it was very fun overall while defending the ship.
I'm naturally EP so this was done during Cadwell Gold and honestly I can't quite recall a quest like this across the other alliances. The main storylines have been pretty great as a whole too.

My fellow EP brethren are going to hate me for this, but it's so satisfying doing stuff for the Queen. She's much more memorable than the other two political figures IMO.

Great job ZOS and also great job on the overall scenery for the zones in the AD alliance. It's very beautiful.

The only reason you think the Queen is more memorable is because you're attracted to her pixels. In reality she's one-dimensional and has a square head.

This is just too funny! When did I ever blatantly said AD and DC are both evil to the core?
Sure, I said "AD's vile and pure cruelty actions are abysmal" but that's just on the massacre of unborn babies! I mean you can't perceive that as not vile (and cruel!) to say the least can you?
To simply put, I am just taken aback and saddened that AD, under the rule of Queen Ayrenn, would allow such a thing! (Or she might not even know about it, which says a lot about her leadership either way)
Of course, the Skald King has his faults as well, nobody is clean as it is.

And with due respect, I think you kinda misunderstood the point of my post.
Please re-read what I wrote. I just commented on how AD's questline and music are beautifully done compared to EP's and how sad I was that there were killings on the unborn.
As you can see, I was totally immersed in the stories that my emotions ran amok. :p

I didn't comment much on DC zones and alliance as I am not really fond of anything about them except for their landscape which has a good balance of greenery and barren wastelands. Their music is pretty good too!
And I believe I've never said DC are evil or even remotely close to it
To add to that, I didn't say or imply that EP is the 'good guy' or the righteous alliance.
And the 3 alliances combined surely aren't evil and/or righteous just to make things clear. No one is.

I cant remember the thread but some one asked about what alliance everyone started in and my reply was AD but I wish it had been another. Had all the great story lines for AD and then meh for the other 2. My advice to anyone looking to play is... Dont join AD with your fist toon. Pact, Covenant then Dominion. It increases the enjoyment of story lines.
