Burrning Spellweave Location?

Hello, I'm trying to grind out the Burning Spellweave set. Now I do know that you get the set in City of Ash, however I don't know if City of Ash I (one) only drops it or if City of Ash II (two) will drop it as well. I played Veteran City of Ash I (one) and only got two purple hats and nothing from the final boss. So which version of City of Ash does the item drop more, especially the jewelry?

Go with City of Ash 1. It's easier.

You realize that this is pointless right? If you had read my post, of which I'm pretty positive that you didn't. You would've seen that I know where to get the set, but am asking which CoA dungeon veriant was best.

If you are farming, the CoA 1 is the easiest. CoA2 is the most long-winded and tedious dungeon in the game. I got all I needed from a few runs of CoA 1, I cannot say the specific drop rate but Scamplord's Signet and necklace drop regularly for me in CoA1. I have multiple spares in fact.

Both droprates are the same. However, if you go to this link http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Unique_Items and scroll down to the Dungeon section and look at City of Ash 1 and 2, you can see which "unique" items you have a chance of receiving from each boss drop.

First link in google anwsers about half ur questions. Second part is pure logic - as u know 2nds part of dingeons trash mobs has almost double hp, and bosses are harder and more spread.

Be nice if the final boss actually dropped some spellweave. I've done the dungeon 5 times so far, and haven't gotten any jewelry, weapons, or sheild. And all the other bosses just been dropping me the damn hats.

I may have to look for an alternative set at this rate.

Not only Dk but useful for templars aswell. Also it is quite useful as long as when you cast fire abilites such as wall of elements (fire).

BSW is best in slot for all magicka builds right now. Except maybe magblade I've heard scathing might be better on them.

BSW may be good, but it's quickly becoming a waste of time. I've been through Vet City of Ash seven times now, and the final boss has yet to drop me any BSW, all he keeps dropping is Sunderflame or some other damn set piece. Seven times I've been through that dungeon with no BSW jewelry drop, and I can only imangine how many times I'll have to play it to get all three pieces of jewelry

you poor thing! seriously you need to adjust the expectations buddy. To get a spinners/bsw/vMA sharp inferno staff - basically to get Best in slot- expect to invest a week- straight gaming hours....not a bloody hour...
i ve run it 150 times- easily. and never come across an inferno staff in a good trait. full gear - sword and board- but never a good staff, one sharp resto was close as i came. wait til you do maelstrom- you ll learn true suffering.

I had done it for like 500 times, farming divine and inpene BSW sets. Yea adventuring takes its toll but the BSW drops when it drops. I got precise and sharpened BSW staffs somehow too xd. Breeches are hard drop. Normal dung drops only blue jewelry, dont even think to farm sets under 160CP, at least i might yell loudly if i looted a sharp bsw inferno for cp90 or so LOL.Vet has no better drop rate for set items than normal, vet drops only jewelry and infernal guardian helm from last boss. The dungeon has tons of heavy sacks, make money meanwhile farming!

Well then if it's going to take 150 - 500 run throughs of the dungeon to get the items, then I'm just going to drop the set and and run something that I can just buy from the venders. I don't have time to run through a single dungeon that many times for a damn set.

Hell with the lack of time I have to do that many runs, a new game patch will be out by the time I get all of the peices. Of which will then be pointless to have as another set can be better then it by patch time.

Seven times and you are getting deflated by the experience... you are trolling us for sure, do you actually know what grinding a bis gearset actually involves?.. I farmed CoA1 in the region of 100 times until i got what i wanted, didnt complain once and just got on with it, finally dropped the last piece yesterday and i can say from using it with 2x Grothdar on my magblade that it was worth the grind..

FYI: you can drop jewellery from more than just the last boss, the mini boss (flaming Atronarch) will drop it as well as Infernal guardian , these are named set pieces so looking for "burning spellweave" in the title is no good as you will need to read further down to see what set the jewellery piece belongs.

A hundred times? Well that pretty much makes it clear for me. Just going to drop the set and look for an alternative in the venders. I'm not going to waste 3 - 5 weeks for a set. Now just need to figure out what they have in the venders, may drop my monster set for a 2nd five piece set.

I farmed my set in a couple days fairly easily. Here is how i did it:

    1. All bosses in CoA1 (vet or normal can be soloed)... Run Vet first, killing all but the last boss(unless you feel like unnecessarily extending each run), learn the chest spawn locations and get your jewelry from there.

    2. Once you get the three jewelry pieces, switch to Normal CoA1 and farm the remaining gear.

Note: Nearly all of the trash can be skipped in CoA1, you can pretty much just run from boss to boss(checking chest spawns in between.)

I found it is much faster to solo than wait for the group finder.

I never been to the Maelstrom arena, nor do I even know where it is at. I don't really bother with PvE events unless it is something I need for PvP. I wouldn't have wasted my current time doing City of Ash if I didn't need the BsW set for PvP. And now that I know how long it takes to get a set like that I'm not going to waste my time anymore.

You and people who answered you so far just don't seem to understand each other. Of course it doesn't take 100 runs of a dungeon to complete any set, including bsw. It usually only takes about 10 runs, maybe 15 even if you unlucky. So you are already atleast done half of the grinding, run it few more times and you will get you jewelry and complete the set.

What others were talking here is getting the set with each piece in same trait such as divines for example. That would take 100-500 runs not just getting a full set in ANY trait, and that is what you want right ? Again, for that you need 1-15 runs usually

Sharpened MA weps are BiS for PvP too. RNG is RNG, get some friends or guild mates to run dungeons for gear, otherwise, go have someone craft you Julianos.

I personally will never roll a crafted set, I like farming for gear, aome drop rates are sickening, such as Spinners, a week straight, no inferno. Yet I farmed necro all divines in a day with two sharp lightning staves,

Personally I believe they set the drop rate much higher for lower levels. I powerleves my wife through Skyreach on Friday, she looted 7 Ragada chapers, I looted one. ZoS knows what to do to keep new players coming back when they know end gamers aren't going anywhere so grind, grind, grind.

10 - 15 runs? If only. I've already done 14 runs with no jewelry drop at all. And no, I don't have guilds to run with anymore, nor do I have friends that play this game. As well as the activity finder groups I get into don't want to give up their BSW drops. So I guess I'm *** out of luck. And I know that for a fact that I'm all out of luck because I'm crafting me my Suducer and Juleonis set.

I don't know what BiS stands for, regardless though if I don't need it then there is no point ion me playing to get the item. As well as I staed above. I no longer have a guild to run in, I don't have friends who play this game anymore. And right now I am crafting my set of julianos.

Go in a busy area and type something like:
    Need 3 BSW farm.

Tell them the pieces you need and give them stuff they need.

If after divines body pieces, run it on normal.

If after jewellery run it on vet a couple times.

If after weapons in BiS trait (sharp inferno) then farm chests.

It took my self and 3 guildie about 50 runs before we saw our first purple necklace. In those runs I also never personally got the unique ring drop, my rng was pretty terrible in COA.

Getting armor on traits isn't bad, but weapons should drop from all the bosses just like armor, rng is terrible in this game.
