Don't forget people can't afford to happily pay that amount of gold after spending fortunes on housing. Many trying to get quick money for that mansion. Fire sales all around. As expected this is causing significant deflation.

Supply is on all times high with people grinding raw materials and writs. On the other hand, no gear changes with Homestead causing demand to get slightly declining.

on xbox eu temps are pretty stable at the 10k mark and have been for a few weeks now. Wax on the other hand is rising in price. I sold 20 overnight at 9.2k each as the biggest botters have been banned a few weeks ago, they made new accounts and got rebanned within a few days (i know because i buy off them). It seems ZOS are on top on xbox eu.

Tempering Alloy is down to 6K now if you want it to sell.

Wouldn't be smarter to hold onto it and wait for the price to stabilize or is this just where the new prices are going to float for now on ?
Morrowind might well give an new jump in prices, changes and new sets.
No new dungeons with Morrowind however so no dungeon sets, just crafted, overland and raid.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Removing cyro campaigns has probably affected it as well. Now there's always a queue when you want to pvp on one of the main servers, so you just go farm for a bit while you wait since there's no time for anything else.

I'm miss the 10k temper days on PC so much . When I transferred to ps4 I took two full guild banks of copied mats with me them put them back in for the guild . I am well to do on ps4 . It's been a struggle here after returning last year to PC . I just now got back in the rhythm of crafting .

Still ~55k per item x 7 - for a set of heavy and couple of weapons.

    385k not expensive enough?

As someone who never had much gold tempers before, I currently have more than I need a couple times over. What happened for me was housing. I started doing writs, first to stock up on surveys, afterwards to get master writs. Sometimes the only thing I do is log in to get my writs for the day done. The other half of it is I grab every node I can to try and get furniture mats, helped alonf by having a craft bag. With the odd exception of ancestor silk, I have a stock pile of refined mats and in turn gold upgrades.

While I'm a pretty regular player, I'm not exceptional when it comes to farming. If I have enough gold mats I can upgrade a couple sets and do master writs without needing buy anything extra, the market as a whole must have a glut of them. Any bots out there may increase the issue, but I doubt they're the cause.

Of course, with housing working as a major gold sink, some sellers may have noticed their sales slow. So some people are also slashing prices. I know I recently cut several thousand off a number of my listings to get them to move.

While I too enjoy a bargain and am happy for players being able to max sets out , Traders are always happier when profits are large lol . My post is not about complaining for players getting a good deal but more looking for insight into what's happening in the market to make future decisions . I hope you understand I see the good side of this as well as I am not a shrewd businessman but more a profiteering salesman looking for direction .

It is because the housing hype is causing more folks to spend their gold on housing materials!

Question #1: does upgrading weapons to gold (temper alloy) help me if the other pieces of my 5pc set are just purple?

example: 3 jewelry (purple) and two weapons (sword/shield) are gold (Thunderbug set)

    Question #2: what is the scam/danger of buying/selling C.O.D. ?

I often buy/sell single items randomly via C.O.D. while I'm out running around... can;t be bothered to teleport into a city...

    Thanks!

    Bots ...

I saw several cryptically named WTS in zone chat tonight where people were selling some of those mats by the thousands.

One was selling 2500 Clean Pelts (!)
    dry.gif

Damn dirty bots . This was a very safe spot in the market for a long time . I didn't know they had bot trains harvesting ore . I knew about the pelts , waxes , leather that co,e from killing creatures but harvesting ore I thought would be difficult for them to bot because the spawns change placement . Guess I was wrong . That is irritating .

After the influx of bots I decided to research and it took less than 10 min to find a bot that will easily harvest nodes. Granite I didn't use this bot as I don't bot and it cost real money to get. But I am sure if I looked harder I could find a free version.

And from what I read eso has almost no protection against bots. And as witnessed it takes them an incredibly long time to ban most bots. With the price of the base game being so low botters can just blatantly bot and create new accounts with new cd keys when they do eventually get banned. With the price of eso gold being fairly high irl money, they are probably making a decent amount of real money.

    More bots = flooded market.

It's easy, housing causes this. You have to farm in order to get housing materials and recipes along with doing writs to get vouchers which give gold mats

With all the unrefined materials that give gold mats + doing writs every day the majority of players are now getting all they need by themselves now. So ironically, housing actually got everyone out farming and getting stuff themselves now in plentiful amounts. I don't even farm that much and I'm sitting easily on a stockpile of gold mats enough for three max characters.

So why would anyone in their right mind buy overpriced bs? lol

Bots have been there before, so how could they be the reason?

I sold all my stuff before homestead because you didn't have to be a genius to predict that a huge gold sink will lead to lower prices. Additionally people are farming more mats for furniture now.

It's simple supply and demand fellas. It's no Putin conspiracy.

I've noticed the drop in gold mat selling averages, so I do not sell them ever now. What is moving for me are recipes, motif pages, food mats, and some gear I find when farming or questing. Oh, and glyphs. I'm not making huge amounts overall, but between my two trading guilds, I am making enough.

Not even motif pages are moving for me as much these days, even near MM price as well in white.

Really? I have sold most I've had in under 24 hours. Granted, none of it was new or excessively expensive. I sold off all my older event motif pages, a bunch of primal, daedric, and ancient elf, some dwemer pages, some outlaw pages, and pretty much all of it has moved in under 24 hours. Even had an Imperial a couple weeks ago, and that went super fast too.

Then when I get a decent amount of gold, I go buy pages I am missing. Trying to get my main caught up.

Yeah this is why ESO needs a centralized market AH per server imo, the far out guild vendors hardly anyone goes to so not as many sales at all anymore.

Yeah I believe they take an average of all stats put together for the set.

For people to sit on the Cod and not pay it so your out of the CoD Fee + 3 days before items return.

    Anybody?

    - You want gold weapons for + SD/WD

    - COD. People dont pay and it takes too long to get your goodies back

    - Face to face trade has left some people paying 100's of k and not getting the item. some say scammed. some say lagged.

I am torn between selling stuff at the lower prices and hanging onto everything for a rebound. I have my manor and a few million gold so might just hang back and see what happens when Morrowind comes out.

I'd suggest there are a lot of people out there who once complained about the high prices, now complaining about the low prices because they are now trying to make money for housing and have to sell cheaply.

Yeah its kind of lame how the PC market is way down atm, its only furniture recipes and raw mats selling these days, hardly anything else.

I am having so much trouble selling tempering alloy at all unless marked below the major market prices . I do not understand if I am selling in a good location with the price even at 7k gold each , why these things will NOT sell forever . I run around and see there are tons of these available at the same price I am listing . Enough to make gold weapons for years !

Are the customers just not buying tempering alloy at all right now ? Why are alot of the vendors so over stocked with them ? What IS the value of gold black smithing mats really ? I see some people with the same problem selling then for 5.5 and 6k now . Has these gold mats really tanked this much ?

I DONT BUY HIGH ANYMORE!!!! i now have the choice to look around and buy CHEAP!!! because i dont have to manually type in what i want at each guild trader. it saves my selection so i can teleport all over and get it for CHEAP . i find those for 4k at some vendors on Xbox.

NO MORE WILL I BE FORCED TO BUY THE elitist PRICES!! WHERE THEY CONTROL MOST OF THE TRADERS. I GO TO THE LITTLE GUY AND OUT BUY WAL-MARD <
YES SOME GUILD NAMED THEM SELF THAT ON XBOX lol

OP this is a GOOD THING

It means the game is VERY healthy...

    More players = flooded market

Most experienced players already golded out their gear so there is less demand and more supply.

I support this in fact I would go as far as say we need to have the rare Sharpened items prices inflate and the improvement mats deflate to a level of almost free:

    TA - 5k
    DW - 3k
    R - 1k
    K - 1k

Then more players will be GOOD because better quality gear = more dmg or survivability and that can only be good for us all

Bring in more housing-type gold sinks or bring increased bank space slots for exorbitant amounts.
