    Here are a couple of recent discussions on the topic. The general concensus is that more than one account is no problem, but playing them at the same time can be problematic IF you use any other software to automate any actions in game.

    I personally do not believe that having two clients open at the same time running two different accounts is a problem as long as you are dividing your attention between them physically, without the extra help of any software. That is to say while you are controlling your one character on one account, the other character on your second account is not doing anything but standing there.

    No they don't and if you search....they've wrote that two accounts played by one person isn't acceptable as one is automated.

    Don't get banned

    "Multiboxing is NOT allowed in The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited in any of its forms, whether software- or hardware-based. Any accounts found to be multiboxing will be considered in violation of our Terms of Service and actioned swiftly and decisively, up to the permanent deactivation of the account along with any other associated accounts. To be clear, players are welcome to have multiple accounts. However, using hardware or software to play them all at the same time is not allowed on any ESO service.

    Multiboxing is the practice of playing multiple accounts simultaneously, including, but not limited to using either hardware or software to facilitate the coordination between the accounts. This violates the intended nature of the gameplay mechanics we've created for ESO."

    He said so long as none of my characters are automated. I do not use bots or macros or rubber bands or third party software not found on ESOUI (ie Minion). So it should be fine. Thx.

    What do you mean by multiboxing, exactly? If you are controling a string of jabby templars all attacking the same mob group, like the bot trains of 3 years ago (you still see that now, but less often), or something of this sort, I think it still counts as botting and is therefore forbidden - in any case, me and others will report this and leave it to ZOS to decide.

    @Jemcrystal

    I posted the link from the help/support pages for this game. It can or will get you banned regardless.

    OP, the fact is that people from the same household (husbands, wives, kids etc..) all play using separate accounts at the same time if they want to play together.

    Is ZoS going and banning everyone who has more than one account up and running from the same IP address? Of course not. They don't comment on this one fact because it is an unsolvable grey area for them.

    If you don't bot, cheat, use 3rd party programs or hardware to run the second account in order to gain some advantage that one person can't do on their own then you should be fine. At the very least you have all the facts on your side and if trouble arises you can be honest about it and point to this thread.

    I hate to say this, but even brazen, admitted cheaters don't seem to get permanent bans, so I doubt someone who is honest and actively looks to be honest is going to have serious problems.

    Any time I've multiboxed in any game, one toon stands there while the other does the work. Some games that =XP and loot, other you have to be close together in group to get the loot. It usually equals a lot of death for the lowby but worth it in the end as far as Im concerned.

    However, since a lot of times people DO use additional software which translates to botting, I can see where the line is drawn.
