Stam DK - Best Race for Pvp and Pve?

I am planning on doing pvp with this build but would also want it to be viable in pve for farming and endgame content...

I am seeing redguard, imperial, khajit, and orc being mentioned as the best?

Which is the best? Pros and cons of each? Hard to decide. Thanks

Khajiit are the best DPS, hands down. Redguards are second best in the DPS department, and they also have the best sustain.

Usually, Redguard is the favored choice.

If Redguard is indisputably the best I will choose it.

Wanted to get some use out of imperial because I bought it, (for an unknown reason) but if it's worse I won't be using it over Redguard.

Is khajit better dps in pvp as well? I know in pve it can attain highest dps

Orc is better than imperial? I just feel like max health would be preferable over health regen... maybe I am wrong

Is the damage bonus to melee attacks with orc noticeable? If so by how much?

Imperial is best damage for DK. Redguard is best sustain.

Strictly based off the passives imperial seems pretty good. +12% health is big, orc has only 6% and regen (widely regarded as the least important category)

Imperial simply has more stam. And in terms of survavilbility it will outlast Redguard...

Imperial and Redguard have the same amount of damage. they just trade the Redguard's incredible Stamina sustain for a huge amount of health.

Redguard is better than imp. That regeneration matters and that 12% extra health usually equates to like 2k to 3k more hp which isn't a lot.

i wanted the option to change gear into the imperial style, so I bought the imperial edition...

when it came time to choose a race for a stam dk seemed like a natural fit because I had heard that race was well balanced (turns out they're more health and stamina focused with a xp boost for SnB)...

my stam dk uses a bunch of magicka type support abilities which is challenging at times, but, so far it has worked out well...tough, durable character which can do a fair amount of melee damage...

the character is only level 36 now, but, once he hits vet - I'll get him some black rose to help sustain all the magicka use for the dk class...

I pull my Orc DK Brianne of Iliac out every few months and go have a look. She dominates everything in sight and I put her away. The game was fun once but much harder in PvE. I guess I should go see if she can solo the Overfiend, she has come so close.

I have no idea what works now, but an absolute crap load of crit and a very bad attitude has been good for a long time.

If you look at the passives it does come down to those 2 traits... If the regen is that much more beneficial then redguard would be better.

okay - not to be mean - but, the height potential is much greater for an imperial...do you really want your mighty stam dk to be only waist high to a nord...just sayin...

I would highly recommend redguard for what you want. Imperial and orc aren't awful but they don't compare. Khajit is the best damage but only marginally better and it doesn't matter how good your damage is if you run out of resources. This is coming from a guy that has played a orc, khajit, imperial, and redguard dragonknights.

Thanks. Probably going to be going Redguard. I agree for stam builds Redguard is truly unmatched.

I would go with Redguard. The sustain is just too good to pass up.
Paired with specific armor sets and the WW ultimate passive I could spam rapid strikes and steel tornado for days and not make a dent in my stam pool.

Redguard is highly overrated for a DK. Sustain is not an issue for that class. Go Orc unless youre a purely a pve hero. Even then I'd probably go cat.

Redguard is the hashone option. You passively get extra stam back every few seconds on your light and heavy weaves, and you get a big chunk of max stam and some extra stam regen. This allows you to focus less on building for sustain and allows you to build for more damage. You do need some health, but if running 6/1 or 5/1/1 you should have plenty from the undaunted.

I think we need a little more detail.

For example: Do you like to drink? Do you drink a lot when you do?

If so, Nord might be your best choice!
