Normal Ruins of Mazzatun question?

I was wondering if you really need to know the mechanics for the normal mode. I am a returning player that stopped last June and now on a new platform with CP 210 right now. I have heard so many people say how tough it is so i didnt know if i need to study boss mechanics before i even go in on normal mode or can i just wing it on normal? Thanks

There are two bosses with mechanics that cannot be ignored. About half way through and the final boss. Even on normal if the mechanics are not followed a group will not succeed. Google the dungeon and read about the fights. The fights are rather easy as long as one understands the mechanics.

The biggest problems I see are people not moving towards the shielded guy when Chudan targets them, then they just stand there and get obliterated. Then on Xal-Nur, I occasionally get a random person who doesn't know what to do with the Spice, and they just stand there trying to DPS while it's on them instead of taking it to the geyser. So he's standing there immune and no one gets rid of the Spice. Also, I see newer DPS that will let all the leashed up guys go right at the start and then get overwhelmed with adds later in the fight because they can't do enough damage to keep up.

Here is a solo run on normal. The final boss mechanic has changed though. You can no longer dodge the amberplasm blinding effect apparently.

Honestly yeah you should learn them. Main hilights are the chudan thing will dive undergerground and you run behind the casters in the blue dome so he tramples them. He also has a beastly spit attack. Then argonian behemoth boss, if yoj dont run poison to the wash pool he'll never die. Last boss you need to learn ti destroy totems/mark statues.
