I've had a great time decorating my houses. I designed a loft apartment, a private pub in an inn, a Kahjiit trading caravan's camp with a high end furniture shop, a vampire den, a crafter paradise, an adventurer's hideaway, and I'm working on a library.
I've been thinking about ways to share the joy with other people in my guild.
1. My guildies should be able to visit more of my houses when I am not home, if I choose to allow it. This is especially important as I start to accumulate attuned stations at my houses.
2. Allow some containers to hold items. I was thinking it would be fun to put spare motifs and recipes in containers in my houses for friends to loot, kind of like Easter eggs. I would be happy to buy a backpack or barrel that would hold a small amount of items from the crown store or as a blueprint. It would have to blend in with regular items, however, or it wouldn't be much of a hunt. (Of course, you could just make the containers hold a certain number of items, like Skyrim.)
3. Allow us to add more of our pets and mounts to the larger houses. I would like to see animals native to the zones in the houses and on the grounds. How about mice and bunnies and those cute monkeys in the proper zones? There aren't even any bugs! It is kind of weird...
Please add more ideas to make housing fun, but, if you just want to complain, start your own discussion. I think housing is a blast and is off to a good start. The furniture items are beautiful!
