Transmogging

I've only recently come back to ESO (stopped playing shortly after IC came out). So i have no idea if there is anything planned for it.

Ever since the dye system came out i've wanted ZoS to add a way to change how your current gear looks, and im sure many others do as well. One of the main reason i love crafted armor is because i can choose the motif of the gear. mainly because i dont like how some motifs look in certain armor types. But crafted gear isn't the best in game, usually you want to farm or buy farmed gear off other players, and the motif for that set doesn't look good with what you have or you dont like how it looks. Usually i'd just wear a costume at that point.

But it would be really cool if ZoS added some way for players to transmog gear to look like other gear. I wouldnt mind if you had to buy a transmog stone from the crown store or have them very rare drops. The player would have to have an item or know the motif to be able to transmog the gear they want to.

Would love for a system like transmogging to be in the game and i've wanted it for a long time.

Exerpt from my proposed Undaunted Overhaul:

This is how it would work:

The old Undaunted Chests would now Contain random junk/crafting items, and be called "Pillage Chests". With an off-chance of dropping a rare crafting material. These materials would be: Imbued Hide Scrap for medium armor, Imbued Cloth Scrap for light armor, Imbued Metal Scrap for heavy armor and melee weapons, Imbued Wood Scrap for shield bows and staves. They would be Purple Quality, sell for 100g at a merchant, be Unbound, and have the flavor text: An Undaunted Scholars attempt to imbue the energy found within a dungeon failed spectacularly

These Imbued Scraps would take the place of regular crafting materials when crafting sets, and the level of the item created is based on how many scraps are used.

Crafting the set though would be behind another item wall; you need an attuned crafting station of the set type. This crafting station is created by using a "[Set] Cipher" with an unattuned attunable crafting station.

The Cipher can be obtained as a rare drop from a Veteran Hard Mode Boss, and can be one of the sets dropped in that dungeon. the Cipher is Unbound, Gold Quality, sells for 500g to a merchant, and has the flavor text: This crucial piece of information describes in detail the nature of some of the energies found within this dungeon.

This is how you would go about making your own dungeon set items:
First, acquire an attunable crafting station.
Use the Cipher with that crafting station (can no longer be changed, crafting staion now has the name: "[Set] Ciphered [Station Name]")
Have a needed [x] amount of Imbued Mats
Have the needed Trait and Style materials and requirements.
Have a Set Piece for the Set That is the desired Trait, and type (legs, chest, etc.), (This is consumed).

The resulting item is Bind on Equip, such that it can be sold, made for, other players. (I do think that Dungeon sets as they are now should be BoE as well)

    I agree.
All of my characters wear costumes currently as I don't like the look of the gear they are wearing. Dropped gear with mismatched styles and in styles I don't like.
    Luckily we can dye costumes.

So yes, bring on a transmog system.

Not trying to be rude, but instead to highlight how many people have been asking for exactly this and for how long
