Maintenance for the week of August 31:
• [COMPLETE] ESO Store and Account System for maintenance – September 3, 10:00AM EDT (14:00 UTC) - 12:00PM EDT (16:00 UTC)
The ESO patcher can't do partial updates. Most ESO data files are around 1GB and even if only 1 byte in that file changed, you have to download the whole file.
I gave up complaining about the stupidity of that system way back in beta.
If patches carry on like this, pretty soon won't be able to play as I share this console wuth my sons & they are already complaining about how much space it takes up.......
Or I'll have to raid the piggy bank and find a cheap decent 2 tb hard drive.
On PS4 my patch is 41.583GB... I had to delete a game just to get it to start downloading and see the size. How are some people only able to get a 6GB patch? Or are you just letting it download in the background and then comparing the difference in the size of the game? And yes I am up to date with Homestead so this isn't months worth of patches.
