My first experience and impression in Cyrodill

First of all i have to say i'm a big fan of MMORPG and MOBA games. I played WoW and LoL specially for the last 15 years. The main reason why these two games catch me, it was because of the challenge of a fight with real persons in an enviroment very equitative, with the a great feeling of competition. In wow for example were the battlegrounds, in moba games is the 5v5 where you need to think, positionate, coordinate with your team and etc.

Yesterday I went to Cyrodill by first time in my life, after I equiped my character with greats sets, reach the 510CP and do a lot of pve to be ready. My experience was very disappointing, first I had to run long distances to get to the focus of the fight, second you can not trust in attack, because the zerling is everywhere, sundenly people comes from you don't know where and 3, 5 or 20 guys jump on you like in a desperately fight to see which one tears off the bigges part of you, third is the zerling, where is the competition in zerling? I mean in BGs there was like an "order" thats why 15 vs 15 was fun.

I understand this is open pvp, RvR but come on... is this fun today day? I think we refine many new methods to make games a challenge. The idea of RvR should be really reinvented or something, but how it is right now is really old and in my opinion brings no fun. I was watching videos of some streamers and i realize they look more for small scale pvp or maybe after playing a lot they can save enough material to do a short good video of pvp, many vs many. I've also got the impression these streamers hate zergin, they look for this adrenaline of a fight where they can show their skill and not die or kill in a nosense *** battle.

My experience ended yesterday as after i died the game freezes in a loading screen. This was the reason for me to say "I'm done for today".

Another interesting point in my opinion is the time it takes to start enjoy the pvp, because between loading screens, organize a team, decide an objective, go there, die in a zerg battle, reorganize everything again, decide what we do now, hey! come on! it's been already 30 minutes of a wasteof time and I couldn't enjoy a decent battle to feel me a little bit satisfied!!!

My suggestions is reinvent Cyrodill, sit on the table and do the biggest brainstorm you can do all of you together. Think how you can do of Cyrodill somethings that gives player the same adrenaline of mobas, battleground and small scale pvp.

OP, welcome to train simulator we all know as Cyrodiil. If you hate zergs, I think you might love 4v4v4 we will get when Morrowind goes live. Until then, do some dueling, I guess.

PvP is in a bad place atm.
Zergs, long distances, lag(which has gotten better tho) and some more minor problems.
I started playing more IC for some 1v1 PvP, but the zergs have reached IC aswell. So now when I want to fight anyone I just go looking for a good place to duel near the main cities.

My advice: just do some duels if you want some actually fun PvP, other than that: Wait for BATTLEGROUNDS to come out.
Feel like that might be some better PvP than what we have atm.

I have similar sort of experience about Cyrodiil every time I try again saying "this time it'll be ok!"

And I usually come back disappointed. The zone is fantastic, I actually like that vast openness, all the formidable castles, little villages, ruins but when actually an encounter starts with 20+ players, the lagg makes it impossible to do anything my character is made for. And it happens EVERY TIME and I'm lucky when it's just the lag and not insta-disconnect.
So for me Cyrodiil does not serve any purpose, however I'd like to play it I just can't.

I've seen a thread about PVP the other day trying to encourage players to join the campaigns but with this dreadful server capacity every new player entering Cyrodiil will certainly be put off which is sad becasuse the game could be fantastic there as well.

The zerg-phenomenon can be one way to counter the lack of control the lag produces but that wears off quickly as there's no real sense of achievement in roflstomping 2-3 players with a swarm of 20.
So I get what the OP says and trying to find a way how to enjoy this raffle we get in Cyrodiil but running out of ideas.

RvRvR is supposed to be a war simulator thus large armies (or zergs). Sure you can go all commando and pick off some loners but when the army comes your in trouble. Like someone said, the battleground lite Zenimax is coming out with (4v4v4) should be just what your wanting. Unfortunately for now we wont see larger 15v 15 BGs. I had a lot of fun in Daoc, WoW, and Warhammer Bgs.

I love when people complain about RvR zones..I mean what are you expecting when it's faction vs faction? Everyone to meet in the middle, pick a partner and type /duel?
