So today, ESO decided I was a new player. Upon attempting to play, I got the whole select your server, country, accepting all the terms, etc. again. My characters were unaffected (levels, stats and the like) except all of my addons and my base settings (such as graphics) have been reset to default. A bit of Googling tells me the UserSettings.txt got corrupted (my computer crashed last night which may or may not be related). I have since attempted to restore it all to what I remember (AlphaGear was a pain), and basically I've come here to see if there's any precautions I can take to prevent (or at least remedy) this from happening again?

I have a copy of my UserSettings.txt now, is that going to be enough?
