I think suggesting a rework of sets is always welcome. There are many sets that do not make sense or are over/underperforming in their current state (from my perspective), such as Ice Furnace giving Weapon Damage but being a magicka set.

However, I find it disingenuous to request changes to remove perceived overperforming sustain sets (why did you just list magicka sustain sets + BR when stamina has arguably just as good if not better sustain?) when overperforming and stacked damage sets are also a debatable issue. Just like there are many annoyed with Sustain Set + Reactive templars, there are many annoyed with Vicious Death/BSW/other damage sets or Viper/Tremor/etc. builds.

I personally think PvP right now is broken because of just the possible gear combinations that have totally been overlooked and it's to the point that with the amount of champion points we have, it's just completely and utterly broken and players are abusing it because they like it. Sets should not have a chance to proc back any of your sustain in my opinion, or at least very toned down from what it currently is.

I agree in concept that the champion points (and just datedness in general) warrant a closer look at sets, but ignoring how Champion Points + damage sets are also arguably "completely and utterly broken" is a bit off-putting.

Edited to remove redundant comment.
Remove all the existing gear and cp from pvp. implement a few free to get "pvp-only-gear" for every class which affects only the own char. create new content to earn special pvp gear in cyrodiil. pvp gear craft stations would be a thing..

Problems solved:
- Server performance improved
- Skill is more important then gear
- ressource management is a thing
- content that spreads the population on the whole map (performance improved)

Might wanna go play a shooter instead of an RPG?

Dont get the context. why do u think that gear makes the difference between RPG and Shooters?

@mafli1

For me? For me an simply pvp shooter is: select a class, choose a weapon, at best a skin and go for it. All about skill. That isn't bad, it's an even playing field. Someone who starts new from the scratch got the same in-game options as someone who spend thousands of hours. Nice, fast, skill based action.

And then there is an role-play game. A game in which you play a role... build a character with all the benefits and drawbacks, get stronger through leveling up and getting better gear. Doesn't mean skill isn't a part of this one, but skill is not the only thing that distinguishes a newling from a veteran. Not better, nor worse than the other genre, but different. And you knew what you where getting into when you bought and TES RPG.

See what I mean? Achieved gear and progressed character (= stronger chars) are a part of what I see as a difference between an flat out PvP shooter and an RPG MMO PvP environment. Although there are more things that seperates Shooters from RPG, because you said you want to withdraw progression (cp) and advancement (gear), it moves this game more into the direction of an simply "shooter". Maybe a nice addition as seperate PvP mode but that's all the use I can imagine about your suggestion.
@Chilly-McFreeze

Thank you for the time you took explaining me your thoughts about my suggestion.
I see what you mean and I almost completely agree. If you read my initial comment you can see, that i suggest to earn special pvp gear (achieved gear). This can almost be everything (gear u can level up with your alliance rank for example / 3 piece gear like willpower, ...). The only prescription: it should only affects your own char. Because this will dramatically improve the performance in cyro.

And perhaps you can agree, that there is no skill/fun to kill every player with pushing 3 buttons and let your gear do the rest.
This is probably fun in pve but has nothing to do in pvp and can not be explained by the advantage of a "progressed char". But I dont want to nerf the pve experience of my colleagues. Another reason to implement pvp gear.

I have normally around 15h/week time to spend on eso. First two years of eso I played pve only. Since one year I spend all may game time in cyro with my pvp guild.
I dont want to farm op-gear in trials over weeks / I dont earn enough gold in pvp to buy me op-pve gear or to make it legendary.
Its like you force pure pve players to play pvp over weeks to earn the best in slot gear and the only way to buy material to improve your gear, is to buy it with ap.
One more reason to implement pvp gear and improve it with ap or ep for example.

Roleplay pve and pvp will never be the same. To treat them separately gear wise could be a step in the right direction: balance, performance, pvp content..

(pls excuse my english, its not my mother tongue and its sometimes hard to explain my opinion into the detail)
