Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – April 6

We need more than 5 guilds. Who agrees?

5 Guilds is just not enough.

I currently have 4 guild traders and 1 PVE guild. I want to be able to easily find a group and 1 PVE guild is just not enough to always find a group easily. Maybe 5 would do it. On top of that My 4 traders fill up EASILY and are always 30/30 full in 4 traders. I don't want to sacrifice all my trading guilds just to join more PVE guilds.

10 Guilds instead of 5 would be perfect. It means 5 Guild Traders and 5 PVE Guilds. That would be great.

Why the heck do they only allow 5, doesn't make sense to me.

N O but in terms of access to other guild stores....maybe having guild alliances to add access to 5-25 more total might be welcomed (drop down access) in the guild store

Sell cheaper so you sell faster?

    :p

Honestly the concept (of being in more than one trading guild) irritates me. Seems like working around the system sort of and I don't think that's the solution.

Doesn't hurt me though so whatever works for you.

No, in most games you only get one per character. We just need a proper auction house so we don't need trade guilds.

5 Guilds + server wide auction house would be a better solution to replace current system

I was personally amazed we got even 5, and I am 100% confident that it's been an enormous benefit to the game's social atmosphere. This isn't to say that I would be against adding more. Other than a possible server load issue for having to juggle even more text events per character, there is absolutely no possibility for harm but a lot of possibility for even more benefit. So what I'm trying to say is that I'm generally supportive of the idea, but also pretty darn content with what we have, and I applaud the forward-thinking devs who made it happen.

5 guilds is more than enough. Heck, I wouldn't want anyone in my guild that's a member of 4 other PvE guilds. They don't care about being part of a guild but merely looking for whoever can get them some action.

Are we talking about dps players or prostitutes?

I think 5 guilds is enough, although I don't care if we get more. I was actually surprised we could be in 5 when I first started playing.

No, we don't need more Guilds. I recently left 2 Guild, staying in 2 trading Guilds and 1 Guild for social Aspects.

One guild would be fine. The only reason we have more than 1 is because of trade guilds in my opinion. It sounds like that's the real issue the OP has. Not enough store slots. There are plenty of other ways to solve that problem that are simpler and more elegant than just adding more guilds.

    Nah. 5 is enough.

It'd be great if trade guilds could have more than 500 members though.

I pretty much buy and sell everything through 1 trade guild.

Only one would be great. Guilds would have to work around PVP, PVE and TRADING. This would means more value, more camaraderie.

The problem with multiple trade guilds is that I usually quickly find that one can get much higher prices than the other so I sell everything on that one. Then again, recently I'm mostly selling fast moving items like intricates, glyphs, and motifs. Maybe even some mats. I can see why someone selling high end gear that people aren't buying daily would need more slots. My housing recipes have been taking up 10+ slots in my lone trading guild since I joined 3 weeks ago, but a decent amount sold for good prices and not enough are being traded to get good prices from addons.

If the solution is to join multiple trading guilds in good locations, you end up with fewer people having good locations to sell which makes the guild trader paradigm a bit crappy.

It is a little annoying when I keep swapping characters to add more items to sell in a single evening due to brisk sales. It would likely be less annoying if I just posted a lot of high end items instead of moving the abundant intricates and glyphs that drop like crazy these days.

I'd much rather have the possibility to classify a guild as trade guild, thereby increasing member slots to 2000. That would also alleviate the constant bid wars at prominent trader locations.

I prefer having trading focused guilds that provide value to Tamriel when they are in premier trader locations. Trading guilds can dump members who aren't contributing to that goal. PvE and PvP guilds shouldn't be worrying about that.

I also prefer a separate PvP guild where I know they always have a full group I can join and activities are centered around PvP.

While I too get frustrated by the limit in store slots, it also allows more people to share in selling since the even the top sellers have a limit to what they can post at once.

I've got 2 trading guilds, 2 social guilds, and 1 Trials guild.

I, too, would like a few more guild spots.

I'm not really sure I see a downside to giving us 8 or 10 guild slots, but I'm sure someone will disagree.

The ONLY reason we are allowed to join 5 guilds when it should be just 1 is because of the stupid trade system.

If the trade system wasn't so dysfunctional there would be no need to be in a guild dedicated to trading.

Being in 5 guilds diminishes what "membership" means, and that is part of why so many guilds (trade guild especially) are always recruiting for fresh-meat - they need the sales, the lottery income, the weekly subs just to make ends meet, and sooner or later many players get fed up of that and move on.

I have never played any other MMORPG where guild membership was so meaningless and of so little lasting value.
