I recently respec'd at a shrine, and a couple of things: three skills didn't reset, and a couple of active abilities reset my progression when I re-added my skill point to them. Luckily I was still going to use two of the three skills, but the third was a skill I was going to pass on. It looks like I have to progress all over again on those two skills with the reset progression. Overall it wasn't TOO awfully bad as I was still able to accomplish what I needed, but I still found it a little bit concerning.
Has anyone else had this happen? Is this a common occurrence?

✭You sure that you selected the same morph as before you reset? If you had morph a before and rest and picked morph b it will not have been leveled unless you had leveled that specific morph.0 -

It didn't give me enough progression to choose a morph. I was sent back to level 1 in the skill with a smidgen of yellow on the bar.0 -

✭✭They recently moved some skills around in the tree order. If you had one morphed that was moved down in the tree you will need to earn the xp needed for that spot to morph it again. The morph keeps its xp progress so you won't lose that and have to relevel it.1 -

Suggest you send in a ticket, I'm sure your data would be logged somewhere and they'll be able to restore your progress.

✭✭Hmm. They both went from level IV fully progressed post-morph, to level 1 before the morph (example: I went from Poison Injection IV to being stuck back at the start of Poison Arrow I). That seems a bit drastic. Also, it doesn't explain the skills that didn't reset at all, like Soul Trap, which is completely worthless to me...

Capsaica✭✭✭The ticket will come back with the same answer that others have given you above. They reordered several skills in different skill lines with the Homestead update. You will have to re-level those base skills again. Basically, the required XP needed to morph those skills was increased because the skills moved farther down the tree - meaning they unlock at a higher level now, and your previously leveled skills had only accumulated the lower previously required XP and now are not leveled enough to morph.
It sucks, I submitted a ticket when it happened to me, I also reported it as a bug, and I was quite irritated by it. The answer I received from customer service was an apologetic "We cannot grant experience so you will have to re-level the skills." That is my paraphrasing, not an actual quote.0 -

It happened with update 13, but there is no difference until you respec.

Frankly, it's unfair. In most cases, we've generated tons of XP on those skills after they maxed out; the game just didn't see fit to store that information.0 -
