Destro mastery and necro could be combined iin a 5/5/1 set up, as long as you have 2 destroy from either set on or 2 master/mealstrom destroy. Would give you a lot of magic and not much else, so good for pet build, even though necro/BSW will give more overall dps.

BSW = Burning Spell Weave? Is that easy to get? IIRC, it's a dungeon set?

I run five Necro, four martial, and two Ilambris monster set pieces. I melt almost everything in PVE.

BSW is a Dungeon Set, City of Ash I think is where you get it. So, it's a grind of semi-epic proportions.

So, until the RNG gods grace you with the set in the traits you want, here is what you do:

Get Julianos 5 Piece, Chest, Legs, Feet, Waist or Gloves and Weapon. Use the Infused Trait on the large pieces, and Divines on the small*, and of course Sharpened on the Weapon. Then chase down the 5 piece set that you want to try getting the 3 pieces of Jewlery and the remaining two armor pieces. Then you also have room to sport a Molag Kena Shoulder, as every caster should have at least that.

This set up will allow you to farm the BSW or any other dungeon set at your leisure, and you don't spend all that much time farming for gear that can be useful right now.

*if you do the math, you will know that Divines is not the end all be all of traits, infused on large pieces is better in most cases

You mean combine the 3 sets?

Let me think. 5 pieces WMK bonus is nice for burst. So 5 pieces WMK + 4 necro + 2 destro

For magicka increase: 2 WMK, + 4 necro (5 if you have pets) + 5 destro master (4 if you have pets)

For DW or S/B builds: 5 WMK + 5 necro (pets) + 2 destro master

WMK is a good set but you need good timing for using it. I have a kind of a hybrid build ith Riven Hourglass (WMK 2H sword)

I have 3 full(ish) sets of these armours but no matter how I combine themthe spell damage AND crit seems rubbish. When Julianos first arrived a ran a sorc that did pretty well and had quite decent spell damage (i THINK about 2.6/7k?). but no matter what i try with these 3 i can barely scrape 2k (no legendary pieces yet, only epic).

Run Necro with either BSW or Scathing Mage and either 1 Kena/Iceheart. If you run BSW you'll need destro staff to drop wall to proc BSW.

BSW - City of Ash 1 is fairly easy to get. Farm it on normal mode for the clothing, you'll be able to get divines/infused setup within 4 or 5 hours. COA1 can be farmed solo on normal but if you need help find a partner, so many people are after BSW it won't be hard at all. IF you need jewlery to make it work, the easy boss (dude with the 3x little critters) on your way to the fire guy drops named arcane BSW jewelry, just enter dungeon on vet run to him, kill him then leave and reset. You'll 2 rings within an hour.

Personally I think Scathing Mage is better because you don't have to worry about fire so much but it's a much harder grind, you'll need 2 or 3 mates also wanting to farm ICP to get it.
