Hello, I am looking for players who have experience/completion(s) on Vmol. I have studied many completions on video and learned the mechanics monthes ago and was wondering. What would be a great setup for both tanks to use? Ebon? Obviously healers will use spc, and for dps IA/VO? Are there any must need classes for Vmol to make it easier? Like magdk for chains, and is there crappy dps to stay away from generally (stam nb?). Any help would be appreciated; I plan on doing it someday but im a solo pvp player who doesnt have alot of friends(at endgame; pve gear wise). Thank you.

Best advice is to find a friendly guild that runs this dungeon and is prepared to teach new comers the ropes, oh, and be prepared to put the hours in! Some might be tempted to run with a group and get 'carried' thru, but there is no real sense of achievement in that. The first time our group got past the first boss it was cause for celebration and drinks all round!

From doing this trial, and the others in Craglorn, I have learned that different groups run them differently, some with more success than others! They usually pay close attention to what skills/buffs/sets are being used so that players compliment each other rather than waste resources by duplicating a skill/buff etc that doesn't stack.

I play a magplar melee dps role with a BSW/Grothdarr/Willpower setup. Moondancer jewellery and vMA staffs could improve my potential, but I don't have those. Magicka sorcs do very well as ranged dps, especially the 'pet' build variants. So far as tanks go, I don't play a tank so am not overly familiar with their setup but chains make like a lot easier with the cats and ebon for the buffs to other players.

Make sure you take plenty of soul gems, food and potions with you.

vMol is ultimately a dps race. Hit hard and support your teammates.
Remember red = dead and a dead dd deals no dps.

@BreacaT Right, I dont want a carry. I know everything that you have said but I do appreciate that you have completed it with willpower. Will definetely put together a good group! Thank you.
Edit: Also how long did it take you? Estimate?

Don't take stamina in there. 2 magdk, 2 magplar, 2 sorcs (must for cat runs) 2 magblade for range, 2 healers and 2 tanks. Stamina makes it very hard to sponge the 1st boss shield phase. You ideally want 4 range and 4 mêlée dps. Tanks both alkosh, 1 Ebon and 1 something like powerful assault. If they can't tank in medium then dragonguard or tava be ideal for max warhorn.

Both Dks must have deep breath for interrupting yellow adds on 2nd boss. Makes it a lot easier until you get used to running it with one chainer and play original bosses over sides.

We have yet to complete it!! Running it two evenings a week for about three hours a time (at a guess) since January, it took us a good month to get to grips with just the first boss. To begin with we would spend three hours failing, now we can deal with him on our first or second attempt. Then you've got the trash mob before the twins to work on and then the twins which is where we are at now, albeit so very very close to dealing with.

The members in the group weren't always the same players to begin with, and it takes a while to get to grips with the mechanics, how not to curse others, when to leave the healing pad for the healer, recognise the bosses 'signals', when to swap sides and when to just stand there and dps until you die in your place etc etc.

It's so easy for a good run to go pear shaped, just takes a curse or pillar at a bad time to result in a wipe. Starting around 9pm, after a couple of hours with players in different timezones means some have to go etc which can break your group rhythm. So thats why you need to be patient, forgiving and find a good group you can gel with. It's a shame you can't 'save your progress', as if you get a bad night you can spend too long getting thru the early levels before it gets too late.

Admittedly our group as whole is not hitting as much dps as other groups, but we are improving all the time and having fun doing it.

Yeah just don't. Somethings in there are made much much easier with shields and you'll want no more than 4 mêlée dps. You need 2 Dks and magplar are just far better than stam builds atm esp due to execute time plus when you get there rhakkat execute phase is pretty much stupid for stamina and you can't get very close to him and lunar phase they'll be useless outside of bow spam. Sure the right group can burn him before lunar but to start off you won't be doing that.

Some stam lovers will get arsey about it but they won't survive 1st boss 2nd shield phase and it just outs extra strain on the healers. Just get rid and make them change out.
