Just remove CP from PVP & be done with it. It's like the tail wagging the dog balancing a PVE centric game around PVP.

Yea the silent majority.... please just stop you are delusional. Try to ask in chat if people agree with this thing, and you will see that the silent majority agrees with us, not you.

You must not have understood how voting and polls work. Here's a recent example
Donald Trump winning the American presidency, every news agency hated him and predicted he would never make it to preliminary. Voting time comes around and when everyone cast their VOTES on a POLL everyone realized the silent majority had very different feelings and opinions because of the choice of their VOTE.
And here on the forums it is the same situation people do not always comment but there are hundreds of people on here who never comment but just surf the forums and occasionally vote in POLLS.
Hence why polls capture the voices of silent majority, and why I created it in the first place to capture a visage of the silent majority who choose not to participate in actual debates.
So nice troll attempt but try again
Yes, the sooner they send this game into it's death spiral, the sooner my wife and I can move onto something else.
it should only if medium, light armor will get buff to cost reduction and regen as recompensate with this to not hurt it to much inn pve and make those armors more viable in pvp instead of still damn heavy armor meta with infinite sustain
The meta has been 'Stack damage' ever since CP came out as that would handle sustain.
This has significantly contributed to:
- Very low time to kill in PvP which reduces counterplay and actually ends up reducing the skill required to kill people.
- A narrow range of perceived 'viable' end game builds as there will always be a mathamatically 'best in slot' for damage
- Narrowing of the economy as only a limited few sets are used for the narrow range of mathamatically BIS damage builds
I would LOVE them to remove this part of the CP tree to address all the issues above... BUT it comes with a caveat...
They MUST make sure that the following are done to balance this out:
- Ensure that end game content is balanced for this (slight) lowering of the DPS threshold. EG: Make sure dps race mechanics reflect the ability of an average group to sustain their dps across the fight.
- Tone down cost increase poisons to help balance PvP... no cost reduction from CP AND poisons would be totally broken.
- NOT increase the gear cap for at least 12 months after the change. Everybody would have to change builds quite significantly to cope with this change... we already have a lot of the CP160 gear, but to then re-faram again a few months after changing for this would be a deal breaker for many people.
SO... this could be a great opportunity for a freshen up of the economy, our builds, add more viable and creative builds to the meta, remove the need/pain of a gear cap increase all in one change!

did you just use the election as an example. an election where trump lost the pop vote. wow.
also, not everyone is registered for forums. not everyone comes to forums. in fact, many people come to the forums to complain, not to say what they like. so the community on the forums is also skewed toward negativity to changes.
Have your poll. go for it. this is hardly representative of anything more than a very small amount of people who play the game.

He didn't lose the popular vote, go look again. There were almost 2 million voter fraud's in Florida, Donald trump won both the popular vote and the electoral votes, I can provide a link if you want it.
Also I'm more than aware not everyone uses the forums but for ESO specifically has one of the largest worldwide forum usage for every platform combined. Hence these votes are coming from every platform and not just a specific one and capture an even larger audience. And that is your opinion that people come here to complain, most posts I have seen are are all just talking about Morrowind, mounts, sending tickets, and talking about various other aspects of the game and only when bug changes like this happen do I see complaint threads.
And they people that are here against it far outweigh those who are for it, an even SMALLER minority. I have actually gone on all three platforms (I own three selected copies of the game) And not on a single one have I seen a popular reception so I'll stick with my supporting information over your condescending attitude

thats fine. we will wait to see if it goes through. if it does then we know at least 50% of population like the change.

in your opinion.
for one zone chat does not represent the game nor do these forums. many many people dont even look or have zone chat up. so many people that would answer in that case are likely people that dont even have a fundamental understanding of the game.
many many people i talk to from guilds to friends to friends of friends to casual to experienced players to role players like this change. your experience shows one thing mine shows another. nothing wrong with that.
the problem i have with you and the same 5 people in all these threads about this is that you claim to speak for these silent majority and that most people agree with your train of thought. that is simply wrong.
you can say many people agree with you. you can say, in your experience, most agree with you. etc. you can not say most people in the game agree with you. you are not in touch with most people in this game. so stop just stop.

I'm not sure where you're getting 50% from but okay.
The developers push through changes regardless of popular opinions. The most notable probably being when Stamina recovery while blocking was eliminated

I dont want to be rude, but I swear you any everyone else who sees this as a relative buff to heavy armor has been hitting the moon sugar too much. Heavy armor relies on cost reduction MORE because their sources of sustain are from effects like Constitution and Rapid Mending.
Light and Medium armor already have plenty of cost reduction from Evocation and Windwalker respectively, and this cost reduction stacked multiplicatively. Heavy Armor is losing 100% of its cost reduction, whereas light and medium armor are losing less than half of their cost reduction. (unless you're going out of your way to get seducers or jewelry enchants etc, which still doesnt amount to much either way)

devs have held, since the time stam recovery was removed from blocking, that they know they will never make everyone happy. They stated (rich stated) that as long as they make at least 50% of people happy, then they are fine with that.
So if change goes through, we know at least 50% of people want it to happen according to zos numbers. Which may not be perfect, but better than anything the consumers have available to them.
but do you see what is on pvp? people who are not shieldstacking sorcsc and ganging nb...most of themis using heavy armor and they have in ass medium/light armor regen and cost reduction because heavy armor is superior in any way for them in open fights so maybe finally sick heavy armor meta will go away where you have infinite sustain with great survivability and still good damage while light/medium armor have only very nice damage and maybe additional sustain/survivability but not all at once like heavy armor wearers
