QoL: Master Writ merging?

Why are you wasting so much server space on all these low writs no one hardly crafts anyway, can't we just have a way to merge them into other random higher ones but up to a cap of like 300 vouchers just to save inventory space as well as server space?

IE: 5 Voucher writ + 135 Voucher writ = 140 Voucher writ (random craft)

I agree. I'm sitting on about 20 unopened low level (2-6 voucher) master writs. I have no intention of wasting my time and mats with these. Will most likely sell them once I get awarded a REAL master writ.

Those writs are not that much of a performace impact.

let me explain:
Every writ has an internal "code" for it.
example of a item code is |H0:item:73256:370:50:54484:370:50:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0|h|h (68 bytes of code)
so imagine 100 million people had that item, or you had 100 million of those items, or 100'000 people had 1000 of those items, that would result in about 6.8 GB of data.
So for an average storage bank server which has about 100 TB that's 0.000068% of the storage.

So yeah, writs don't do any performace decrease.

Just seems like a waste of server space non the less though, and it will make people happy to get other random writs instead of ones they can't do and have 2nd chances at others.

Storage space on servers aside, the stealth nerf to writ drop rates is very frustrating....

I would like to see, if anything, a system that rewards being a master crafter MORE SO than the current (rather abysmal) drop rate for master writs does.

Why not add in a system such that you can upgrade master writs, or combine traits. The way I see it, writs have some base characteristics, and some variable ones. Base one being set it wants you to craft, trait, item. Variable being quality.

i.e. if, on your 'alt' craft char you get a writ to craft a 7 trait epic item you can move that writ to your master crafter, and with some extra cost (say furniture mats, alchemical resin or something) you upgrade the writ to require a legendary item.

Either that, or combining writs. i.e. you have 2 writs, one asks you to craft a legendary item from a 2 trait set, the other an epic item from a 9 trait set. Obviously you want the 9 trait legendary set, so why are you unable to craft that item, and have it fulfill both writ requirements?

Not sure how much it would reduce server load. Do them as you get them for managing your inventory.

Besides, Zos math is 5 voucher writ + 135 voucher writ = 2 voucher writ.

I currently do all of my master writs regardless of their voucher value. I don't complete them every day, usually assigning a session every few days when I have about 10 to do. Most are alchemy and enchanting anyway, so take no time at all to knock out.

This is because the 2 voucher writs have some importance into the game economy. Many people are buying these for the sake of the achievement and the fact that to them, it is affordable.
