Is it just me or selene sucks for pve, skoria is better even for stamina builds ?

I heard everyone talking how good selene monster set is for stamina builds, now I got it I am very disappointed. Its completely useless for pve because it doesn't proc of dw and bow skills, and we all know these 2 weapon types are best for stamina dps. It only procs of cloak and twin slashes from dw line, and I dont think it proc of any bow skills ?
It doesn't proc off main spamable skills such as bloodthirst or steel tornado. And you know what does proc of bloodthirst ? Valkyn skoria.
So I would really like if somebody can explain to me how exactly is selene better for stamina dps then for example skoria if I will get 0 additional dps from selene and a bunch of dps from skoria, because skoria will proc every 6 sec and selene never ?
I am talking about pve ofc, pvp is different because selene proc of two handed and s&b skills, but who uses those in pve ?

Selene requires ''direct damage'' to proc . That's why . It gets buffed from Mighty as well . I used Selene on a Stam NB build that uses Surprise Attack as spammable . It did more DPS than any other monster set . I didn't have Velidreth so couldn't compare with that but I think Velidreth is better because of AOE capability and steadiness . It procs almost on cooldown while Selene is highly dependant on RNG . If you are lucky and have the correct build , it can do more damage than Velidreth in Single Target . If you are not lucky and/or don't have the correct build , it can be worse than Skoria , as you suggested .

In PVE Selene is not the best stam set that's Velidreth. Selene is a better set in PvP since most builds use 2h which proc Selene more often.Selene sucks in pve imo kragh and Veli are better DPS sets.

It's nice for werewolves I think. On most other builds I'd prefer Velidreth, Kragh, or even Stormfist.

I use Selene's and mainly PVE. I think for Selenes to be effective you need to focus on dealing melee damage. My build is melee focused and I like it, with light weaving I get mine to proc fairly regularly.

Velidreth and Kra'ghs are supposedly better but Ive never tested to find out. Personally I like Selenes the bear looks cool with my Wrothgar costume.

I want to try out Kra'gh but I haven't had time to try and farm the helm and I doubt Ill ever get the shoulder I want for Selenes or Kra'ghs.
