Templars reflecting abilities?

Last night, I was in PVP (NA/AD) and I was trying to get to my group at Sej via Alessia Bridge. Now, as we all know- there's damn near unkillable templars that like to troll the bridge... which is fine. (I just ignore them. More power to you if knucklehead AD pugs want to waste their time trying to kill you!) However, this time- there was a lot of combat between alliances on the bridge and below it. I couldn't simply ignore the templars.

Here's the weird part:

As I'm fighting through- I noticed that a bunch of my skills are getting reflected back at me... from what looked like a Blazing Shield build templar. How??? Was he wearing Nikulas' Armor? I've been PVPing for quite some time now- and I've never noticed Templars reflecting skills. I double checked to make sure he wasn't a DK. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Or even one of the 1h shield abilities if they chose it over absorb for a heal. I'm assuming you would notice a black circle around you for Eclipse.

Yeah it's the 1h/s ultimate. It can be hard to see the block telegraph/animation on blazeplars.

Defensive stance? 1H and Shield
Refelects spell cast and stuns enemy.

Yup, there are two SnS abilities that reflect spells. Of course that would be a finally useful thing that eclipse could do, a morph that you cast on your self to reflect projectiles. Rather than something that you cast on a single add that effectively does nothing...

we have a class skill Total Dark but its next to useless and grants cc immunity, if it wasnt that it was S&B

either Eclipse (you would have seen black bubble around your character), Defensive Stance (S&B ability) or Spell Wall (S&B ultimate)

I forgot about that S&B ultimate. Ha! Well, I guess this guy was using that- and perhaps the reflective shield ability? Hell- he could be using Nikulas, too. Talk about not getting hit!

You know, now that you bring this up I want to do some testing against Nikulas...

Not long ago I was fighting a magplar and my Poison Injection kept getting flung back at me, and I am sure he wasn't using the snb ult (unless the visuals were just not displaying). I suspect that gear set might be reflecting more projectile types than it's supposed to.

I already tested against Defensive Stance to confirm that it couldn't reflect Poison Injection - that skill seems to be working properly.

This actually made me think of a pretty fun build for PVP. Imagine a StamDK:

-5pc Armor of Nikulas
-5pc Knight's Errant
-2pc Bloodspawn

S&B build. High magicka recovery for CC & Wings.

The Armor of Nikulas would reflect projectiles 25% of the time while your Wings would reflect the other projectiles. On top of that- every time you hit "Defensive Stance" or "Spell Wall"- you gain health... (from Knight's Errant). Furthermore, I'm not sure if Knight's Errant increases the damage that gets reflected back at enemies- but I do know that since "Spell Wall" is a cheap ultimate- you'll constantly get extra stam, magicka, and health back from using it. It's time to test this out!
